I had a thought on Sunday while sitting in my tree stand. If a deer walked close enough to the stand would it be possible to jump out of the stand and stab it with my B11. This thought kept me busy for about two hours while nothing moved in the woods.:( Does anyone else have these kind of thoughts while in the woods? I have come up with a few others like, using a zip line for that stealthy attack or digging a hole and covering it with leaves so they fall in.

I think i need to start taking a Gameboy (do they even still have those things) or something else to occupy my mind while hunting. LOL

You might want to sign up for Life Alert. :D

"Help, I did something dumb and I can't get up."

Stick with arrows and bullets son. You're not 18 anymore.:p

Ive thought about that before when I went hunting with my Scrapizashi. If rambo can do it, I can do it.

Future Darwin Award contestant????? Maybe you could sell tickets? I'd pay to see it and the $ will help cover your insurance deductible. I can see it know, "here hold my beer and watch this" ;)

Hey ! That's MY line ! :very_drunk:

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

i did know a guy on parol and he could not get a gun so he got a stand about a feet off the ground and stabed a small doe with a ka-bar duct taped to a pole

Sissy, a real man would use a case peanut.

My boss fell out of his tree stand 2 months ago and broke his legs, he had to crawl for over an hour to his car to call for help. The deers were a laughin that day.

Crazy son of a gun! It sounds fun as heck but lol can u will your collection to the forum first? I picture chest collapse and a long internal bleed out in the cold still night.

.... well, kind of ashamed to put this story out there but i had the chance to do this once. muzzle-loading black-tail i put a round down range at a pretty good size 4x4. first time missed but i was able to get off another and thought i dropped him. he was roaming this hillside with about 4 other deer and a small forky ran straight toward me and bedded down 20 yards away.

now is where it gets embarrassing.... for the life of me i could not find my ram rod to reload after that second shot. it is still up for debate whether or not i harpooned a buck with it, or just threw it aside in the 4' tall grass . so there i am standing atop this huge fallen tree that served as my rest, and the little forky trots up to me so close i could spit on him. my ka-bar marine combat was unsnapped and ready to rock and roll and to be honest i considered it ha.

well i finally could not hold my breath any longer and i swear the second i exhaled he took off like a bat out of hell. long story short i gotta tell ya, even though he was little those antlers were looking mighty pointy and like they were just itching to do some field surgery on my insides.

Go for it, but please do take video.

We are lucky over here ... you can shoot deer all year round and not many Deer Stalkers ... so I go out a lot and have had many Deer come in that close ... usually from behind the tree in your blind spot ... but I have to say I never have contemplated "the Rambo Dive" :D:thumbup:

I'm usually holding my breath and trying to silently click off the safety which can sound like a clap of thunder at a time like that ... :D

Those a tricky shots though ... having to sight down the side of the barrel as the scope is no good when they are "that close" ...
