...Ontario RAT-7, which if i didnt say it before ill say it now, I preffer it over the Rat Cutlery RAT-7, because its more affordable. Its basically the same knife...without all the hype and over pricing on it.

I just thought it was interesting how he says Rat Cutlery knifes have so much hype:confused: I am alone when i think they are just great knives, probably some of the best for your money? I really dont see how they are over hyped:confused:

Second, the ESEE-6 is like 20 bucks more then a rat 7, right??? I cant see how thats over priced at all...

It may be nitpicky but i dont think Rat Cutlery makes RAT-7s...and i think Rat Cutlery is now ESEE...which i would think some one who says they are a "knife guy" would know but...im not sure...

Anyway, jus thought i would share:D

i dont care for nutnfancy personally the videos of his i have watched all seem rather uninformed and highly opinionated so for me this review doesnt hold a lot of water

yeah i saw that in the video too, i thought he was a little off based, the RAT-7 made by RAT cutlery thing, not knowing the name change. and i think he needs to do more knife vids. but w/e whaddya do, some people cant be swayed.

i agree...i liked his old 10min vids where he was much more bland and got to the point and said what needed to be said...but he doesnt do that any more...

Evidently the cold and high altitude was making him think and say stupid things. lol...
it causes you to act and say things you normaly wouldn't. :D

This is what many people think and it makes me crazy! He should know the difference especially since Jeff Randall sent him a Desert Tan RC-4 so he could make a comparison. If you cannot tell the difference side by side and after some use, PATHETIC. I wonder if Ontario would do the same? NO! What you get in a quality sheath alone makes up for the 20 dollar difference, gimme a break. I don't see him using an RC-6 to make a comparison. Another problem is that any hype is nothing compared to the actual blades worth. I want him to keep using the Ontario RAT 7 so there are more RC-6's for me to buy, cool. KNIFEABILITY-a must for all humans

I am sorry but saying the Ontario Rat 7 is a better deal than the ESEE RC-6 just pisses me off and makes me think he's retarded. KNIFEABILITY-a must for all humans

well said man, he really should know...hes gone wayy downhill really fast :thumbdn:

Not to mention I thought Ontario had some major QC issues. Also, speaking of hype, does Nut have any Busse knives? Oh, and look a slough of Cold Steel products(which I happen to like the hawk at 20) but Cold Steel is the epitomy of BS marketing. I'm glad he is out camping though.

I've never cared for nutinfancy or his videos for this very reason. He's talking about an RC-6, not an RC-7 (which doesnt exist).

Now I know he's wrong because I'm a knife guy and know knives but how many times is he wrong about stuff that I don't know about?

Can't trust his info as far as I'm concerned. Plus he has a know it all attitude that gets under my skin.

Nutn will never own a busse...if he thinks 120 to spend on a ESEE-6 is too expensive, i cant see him ever spending $300-$500 for a good sized busse...Yeah and all the stupid CS "reviews" for tacticool fighting blades...but you gotta give it to him...he does do lots of camping...

Yeah what is the deal with the hype crap. I thought he looks at each product and how it measures up on its own merits, barring the company its from. I really don't care what knife he uses but don't talk s^*t about my knife and the quality it can bring to thousands of potential buyers who use his opinion for gear especially when he is wrong, because its not opinion that the ESEE RC-6 is a higher quality knife. IDIOT!

i agree completely...sad to see he is giving out some much false info to so many people new to knives:thumbdn:

I didn't check out Nutnfancy's clip. Can anyone tell me how many times he said "tactical" before it was over?

dammit, i don't have sound on this comp at work... i'll have to wait till i'm home and wasting my own time. Personally i used to like his vids, until i actually started reading and learning about knives myself. I thought it was good to get a 2nd opinion from his vids on certain blades, but as i delve more and more into knives i find myself disagreeing with him more. i think what really did it was when i saw him batoning with a crkt m-21 and blaming the knife for his own failure. Since i saw that i've taken his vids alot less seriously. He's too opinionated and nit picky. He winds up discrediting knives to a bunch of viewers/customers due to his own shortcomings. That's just my own 2 cents.

I don't see hype. When I see kids driving down a main street with rice rockets with weird body kits....huge cosmetic not function wings...and bee in a can melt on coffee cans? Thats hype...when I see a guy driving down that same main street with a 94 Mazda RX7 with a Supercharged LS1, thats function....he knows what he has...he knows it can perform....not many "HYPED" kids are swapping even stock LS's into other cars, much less....BUILDING them all out....and at that; doing it themselves.

NutFan's videos never sat well with me, his glock and xd reviews, etc. He claims alot to be unbiased and but its obvious he injects his preferences into his vids. Its why I don't watch them anymore....

I rather buy stuff on recommendation from people who I actually think, their opinions matter. Or that I think is a good idea to buy, test out, and if I kill and abuse it to death through good hard use? Buy another, and use it till it dies too...from hand tools like snap on for most of my projects to craftsman for my room roll out chest, or lug around carry tool kit... its all relative.
