Thoughts about nutnfancy and cutlerly lover

Quit judging others all the time because you think it makes you look cool or feel better. These guys put out a lot of time to make these vids and do bash the way they go about doing it is childish. Maybe if you actually listened to what they have to say instead of looking for a few specific details you'd learn more than you thought you would from a vid. No one learns anything by being so close minded.

After carefully re-reading your post, I would agree with you. :foot:

No, I don't get the picture really, what's your point? You sound angry because members are expressing their opinions. Can't figure if you're a NutnFancy fanboy or just mad at the world? :p

Ugh I give up. Just leave the guys alone. they work too hard to be constantly ridiculed.

I like them both, both give me great insight on knives that I cant try out for myself. And since I am new to this it helps me see whats out there. I appreciate they time they put into the videos. Also if they say the same thing about the same knife its a good guarantee.

Well I already post an opinion here but that was before having watched much of cutlerylover. They are very different presenters. I must say that I find CL to be very very long winded and frankly boring as hell. Nutnfancy can be long winded too but he is energetic and passionate and that seems to make all the difference. NF really gets out there and makes an interesting variety. I would say he is a more professional and experienced presenter with loads of experience and attention to detail while the other guy is, well... a guy on youtube. I still value CL but there is in my opinion no contest.

Nutnfancy seems to be on the money most of the time. I would take his opinion over anybody on this forum... :)

I like them both. I don't always agree with them on everyting, but they are great for getting overviews of gear.

They both talk too much.

Your right on dude lol jk they are good for getting overviews but you really need to try out a product for your self to know if its right for you everyone is different!:D:D

Duuuudes! It's just Nutn' keepin' it real. Telling it how he sees it, usually through coyote tan Duracoated tactical sunglasses. ("Man, that's a cool color")

I got to admit I do watch Nutnfany but, man, that guy can talk. But I like him (your mileage may vary!).

"Dudes" I agree with 70% of all posters when I say they both talk a little too much. Jeff, especially, tends to trail off of subject. I often wonder if he's a pothead because that happens to me all the time. I like to watch reviews on knives before I buy them or when I'm waiting for a knife and I just want to look at it out of excitement. Nutnfancy and Cutlerylover simply have the most reviews overall so they are the most popular. Edgeweapon88 has my favorite youtube channel. His collection is quite nice.

i like cuttery lover, but i cant stand the other his vids are wayy to long and he thinks he is the best thing on youtube

cutlerylover is great. i only watch nutnfancys long videos when im bored, but theyre good too. also ZINIDUDE is one of my favorite youtubers. check him out his name is Zini on the forums

:):):):):)i am going totally off the wall but really didnt know where to post this at but i was just wondering what this knife comunity thinks of nutnfancy and cutlerly lover the to biggest knife reviewers on youtube exscuse my spelling:):):):):)

Nutnfancy knows nothing about knives. He's pretty solid with guns though. But knives - no. ignore him.

Any information I can get about a knife before I buy it.....is good information. I'll make my own buying decisions, but there is nothing like having data ahead of time.

Was interested in comparing an old Delica I had circa 2000 or so with the newer Delica 4 w/FFG. A helpful forum member linked me to a nutnfancy vid that pretty much answered all questions. Awfully nice resource to have when one lives in the liberal hinterlands as I do and my one local blade shop doesn't do much to rep the brand.

Will have to check out CL and some of the others as well...

Having made a number of humble little knife review clips, I know that it's not trivial to do it well. If you want to keep your audience interested, you have to prepare a bit. Look up some history if appropriate, think about the approach, sometimes do an extra take, and above all stay passionate. Whether the style of these two reviewers suits you is another matter, but it's obvious that both are prepared and passionate.

I appreciate what they are doing. Yes, some of the reviews are a little long winded but the net is my first/main resource for information on potential purchases. My local knife store does not carry all the brands I'm interested in so I'm highly dependent upon reviews for my education.

It is often very frustrating to have an interest in a knife and be unable to find anything written (or videoed) about it.

I tend to mute the reviews and just look at the knives. I don't really need someone to tell me about G10 or liner locks. I'm not interested in whether or not a knife is "tactical" or whether or not someone thinks it's "tactical". Whenever I'm interested in purchasing a new knife I check out a bunch of videos on youtube to really see what the knife looks like from various angles. It makes deciding whether or not to purchase a knife much easier.

mostly they are ok, nutn babbles alot, they are both 2 obsessed with sheaths, i am interested in knifes only,i never bouht a knife that the sheath was worth talking about
