Thoughts on Paperstone?

Among my other Buck woes, one is a 110 Ecolite. Vertical lockup is terrible. Sent it in, was told "that's just the way the paperstone models are".

Qua??

Forgive me for squinting, but this sounds wrong on a couple of levels.

1) I've never had a Buck representative tell me "that's just the way they are."

2) That's not "just the way they are."

I have 110 and 112 EcoLites. That's not the way they are. They are solid and robust (and sharp and snappy).

Perhaps we could have a little input from Joe on this?

Joe? Does this sound right to you?

Yeah, I know. I've been a Buck user since I was a kid (I'm 63), have maybe 15 still. This was just one of the disappointments re Bucks I've had recently. Had 6, count 'em six bummers in a row. Sent three into Buck, one I sent in twice even. Little joy. All this happened in the last three months or so of 2011.

Been meaning to post a separate thread but pretty much know the wrath that will ensue. Guess maybe I will anyway. Not mad, just sad, since I don't rave about Buck so much any more, and certainly haven't bought any more and don't guess I will.

Even saying all that, obviously still have heartstrings for Buck left, since I've got a Vantage Force Avid and a Buck Stockman Delrin on me right now, which make 2 of the 5 I carry daily. :)

???????????????
Should lock up just like a regular 110-like a vault. I'd email Joe Houser here on the forum for correction.

Lady who called to tell me that was very nice about it, I'll say that. Said same about the 487. Even called me back to say she found a Vantage Pro Avid with early lockup, but it wasn't. Very sweet about it all, really.

But I'm going off topic for thread, sorry.
