Thoughts on the new GEC Hound Tooth?

Great looking pattern. The five 56/57s that I have are the most pocket friendly GEC knives I own.

Sadly, it is yet ANOTHER pattern not being offered in stainless so I'm gonna pass. Look forward to all of your reviews.

I'd have rather seen it in a 47 frame with other than delrin covers. But, I do like it anyway.

What happened to the other shield?!? A real beauty nonetheless, might be my next "slacks only" knife for sure. Has a real gentleman's folder appeal about it.

They just posted a pic on their facebook page of the red jig bone version. Also, Looks to be a pretty sharp looking knife, I bet that feel pretty good in the hand with that wharny blade.

I am a sucker for a wharncliffe blade. I really like the looks of this one.

I don't need another knife though. Then again when has this knife obsession ever been about need?

i will get one,and it would be perfect to have one with clip point (to go in pair) :D

Some of that Bocote is eye-catching, get one with a lot of stripes and it would be a very nice object. I've been wary of Bocote after a Bark River knife I had in it began to warp and shrink back a lot. Maybe I was the odd man out but it had to be re-handled......(in something different)

I notice that the Ebony version has not only a different shield but has 4 pins not 3. More pins the better I say.

The Ebony version was a set-upknife/test pattern only. There will be no regular production knives in Ebony. Tidioute will be Red Jigged Bone and Bocote and the Northfields will be Jigged Bone(color to be determined) and Burnt Stag. All materials will be available in Wharncliffe Blade-Linerlock/No Linerlock and Spear Blade-Linerlock/No Linerlock.

Well I held out for as long as I could.

I just ordered a #55 wharncliffe blade with bocote wood covers.

I can't believe I was able to wait this long. I can't resist a wharncliffe blade. Looking forward to getting this one (not a bad price either).

I couldnt stand it either. I just ordered the red bone Wharncliffe. My favorite blade style!

Very tempting indeed, Still trying to decide on my next one. Pretty much down to this or the halfwhit.
