Thoughts on the Toor Merchant 2.0

I'm a bit robust and tankish myself, so I don't notice the Umnumzaan that much.
I guess I meant among the CRK knives it tends to be the workhorse of the bunch. Would’ve been cool if they integrated some inlays like they did with other models, but I digress.

I'm not a big fan of hearsay tarnishing a brands reputation, so I'd love some actual proof to that. As far as I can tell some designs have some vague similarities, but nothing very similar at all. so like, the majority of knife brands that exist. If HFB is getting hung up on some minor details they should probably check themselves on that because they're clearly not a lone wolf in their designs either. But if there's some actual direct design and spec rip offs, that's a different story.
Andy Arrabito owner of HFB talked about it fairly extensively.

Every knife shares inspiration from something else. The only company that seems to be completely original is WE and Reate, often times to the detriment of attractiveness of the knife. It isn’t like knife companies are pulling a Carlos Mencia.

Probably won't buy a Merchant as it's too big for me to carry and I don't need any more knives I won't carry, but the similarly revised Toor Chasm Tanto has my interest. I avoided the Chasm before because of the pocket clip and the recurve blade, but now both of those issues are fixed. Haven't seen any at dealers yet but when I do I might snag one.

SMKW has an exclusive Chasm called the Widow.

I received mine early last week and have enjoyed carrying it everyday since.

I almost bought one of those, but I just can't get past the aesthetics. I think if it didn't have the red liner, or the scale was matching red, or had red liners on both sides and the handle was all black it would look better, but the mostly back with one side gray and one liner red just seems kinda off to me.
