Thoughts on using Rocksteads with ZDP 189 in the Electrical trade.

I was unaware, but then again, that is neither my occupation nor my bailiwick. Thanks for the info though, the more you know...
Something like this would be the "official" tool designed and marketed specifically for it.

But you said "4. I find using a knife to strip wire to be a case of wrong tool for the job. Sure, in an emergency, it'll do, but if you are an electrician, I'd think you'd carry/have a wire stripper as part of job."

Number of ends to be stripped on wire larger than 10 ga vs number of ends to be stripped on wire under 10 ga on most buildings, vehicles, or equipment has a fair amount of difference in the counts. Not emergencies, but reasonably expected to not likely be too close.

Most of us have wire strippers... For wire up to about 10 awg. After that we use knives, either razor knives, pocket knives (lots of old timers use cases, or other traditionals), or hawkbill type knives. Also, stripping a cable with multiple wires is different than stripping a single wire and usually requires a knife to at least get part of the sheath off so you can get to the string, if the cable has a string.
