For those of you who are not familiar with the ringed gidgee, it is as heavy and hard as desert ironwood with really good figure that reflects the light like koa. That is because both are in the acacia family. The gidgee is a desert acacia so it is much slower growing producing an extra dense wood. Based on AU government sites, the gidgee is a fairly rare tree but not considered endangered or a protected species. The ringed gidgee is an even rarer condition happening in some of the gidgee.
Still some of the really good ones left. I have removed the photos of the sold pieces so it will be easy to tell which blocks are still available.
This is some of the hardest and nicest wood I have ever seen. If these sell quickly, my boss will let me buy another batch. Maybe more this time.
I can't believe no one hase jumped on the piece of Belah. It is seriously hard wood and polishes like glass. It is rare to get a piece whithout flaws even here in Aust, come on and give it a go, I bet knowone else in the US hase used it yet. Cheers.
