Thread for showing off Custom Sheaths.

pj, have you tried carrying a knife in the middle Buck custom sheath? I have that one and want to carry my 334 Trapper in it. I just haven't
tried making it fit. DM
David, that one is for a 501 so I'm sure the 334 would not fit. The leather is also thick and sturdy, so not any stretch. Preston

Not as fancy as gunstockjack's, but I needed a sheath for the 116 and wanted to try lacing. Only took me a few weeks and even more for my hands to recover.

The other sheaths are great Preston, I cut it down so you knew which one I was talking about. I bet your hands were sore, that type of stitching is hard to do. I just use whip stitch the most and by the time I'm done, I'm using a small pair of needle nose pliers to pull the lacing tight...Good Job, Really Looks Nice!!!

Let’s see a picture of the inside of that cabinet

Well you C Roddy, I've been real slow deciding what to fill the display with. I'll drop a photo in the SPS this week. There are two cabinets side by side, thinking to fill the bottom of one with Buck HD knives and the bottom of the other with 903 Bowies. Just have to work out how to best display them.

Decisions, decisions...Besides the odd hours you work, must be purdy rough...:D

I got a display for the SPS that I been working on for a while to

I do like that open no strap design. Very clean and simple and shows plenty of handle. Can that be used for a knife that has a large guard?

The large guard doesn't work well for a pouch style sheath. I might try something along those lines.

That would all depend on the guard, as the friction of the handle is what holds it in, buy the time you got enough leather to get around the guard it would get pretty large. Maybe with a small guard or an odd notch.
