Three day giveaway!!

thanks for a chance, unfortunately I don't have any "traditional" type folders except a Gerber Double Bolster Stag Stockman that i received last year from my coworker

Not an entry.

Sorry to hear of the break-in, Dan. Actually, I am glad you were not home. Better to lose stuff than risk life and limb. But it still sucks.

Thanks for the entries so far! I love the diversity shown so far, which is what I was after all along. I came home today and found my front door kicked in, my wife's jewelry box partially gone through and many (not all) of my clipped knives gone! But they were idiots on top of scumbags, and left every single Slipjoint on my dresser! So the contest is still good to go, and I'm okay because I found my cats and nobody was home (oh why do they not try this with me around....)!

Oh no, really sorry to hear this Kris. Glad nobody was harmed, and hope you get everything back.

Wow, that's just terrible. Without being too naive I still hope the police will be able to track 'em down. Glad you're OK.

Happy B-Day and thanks. Nothing that I can define specifically I know if I like one when I see it, here are some that I like the most

Thanks for the chance - I´m in :)

I really like bone handles - the grain of that material is just plain awesome!

I like blades that have or look like they have soles because if you don't like looking or think in about them it will be way harder to pay good money to get it. Happy birthday.

I love the two blade (peanut) and three blade (stockman) knives, there's just something about those small knives that lights a fire inside me when I use them. These knives just become part of you after a while of using them and always having them there in your pocket all day everyday, just sitting waiting on you to need to cut something.

Happy Birthday, thanks for the GAW, and may it bring much good luck to you and yours.
The three on the left were on me. I like the lambsfoot because I bought it new (a treat in itself), and because it's cheap and plain and tough enough to use as hard as I like. I like the Remington Barlow because it's a real Barlow with solid bolsters, and because it's by Camillus. I like the big Vic because I got it for $5 out of a box at an estate sale surrounded by guys who should have seen it first, because I'm not likely to need other tools when it's on my belt, and because I need the magnifier more often than I used to.
The others are out of my favorites drawer. Kutmaster stockman because it's perfect, Kabar because it's adorable, and secretly all the knife I usually really need, and it was $1.50. Opinel for the same reasons as everybody else, especially with the Coghlan taper. Camillus scout because it's pristine and it was Dad's(we used to split grab-bags from that e-retailer in Tennessee). Bruckman was my Dad's, similar grab-bag situation, it's my tweed jacket knife.

Happy Birthday ..and sorry about the break in.
I like peanuts, because they are very small and unobtrusive, yet highly capable, and they come with style, and as any good old carbon steel traditional knife, gain character. Plus, they can be carried and used almost everywhere.
I like the very thin main blade, which makes it a wonderful little apple slicer, and the small blade for opening packages and the like. I can open a package with a peanut and it seems i just used my hand, hardly noticeable in public if i'm careful. Magic :D Or mystique..

and an old pic with my levitating peanut

Thank you.

I love a knife whose design has soul tied to its purpose. All three of these knives meet at the cross section of heart and utility. Happy Birthday to you!

Il play carbon steel bareheads and spearpoints. Thanks for the generous giveaway.

Im in, i cant really post any pix of any traditionals as I dont really own any other than a small single blade boyscout SAK...
I have been wanting a larger slim traditional for a while though, just never picked one up for some reason.
maybe if i won, you could help me make up my mind for me...;)

I really like cut swedges and long pulls. Here's a picture of all my under-3-inch knives. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks Kris, I was carrying these today so this is the pic I took. I don't have many knives but my 2 favorite knives are the Queen folder pictured, my grandfather carried it for many years before his death and an Old Timer my dad bought me in the early 90's when my first daughter was born.
I like traditional folders and small fixed blades.
Have a great day!

I love the workmanship that used to rule the day.

Thanks for the chance:thumbup:
