I think this Menefee Lanny's would be perfect with provisions for a lanyard.

Happy Birthday and !!SALUD!! I like carbon steel Hunter patterns carried in belt sheaths.Stockman and trapper patterns is mainly what I have.

I like single bladed slipjoints. Prefferably with a wharncliffe blade in carbon steel, bolsters and wooden scales. A good looking shield is a bonus.

I am still very much in the process of finding what I like. So far, I think I prefer smooth handles like bone, ivory, or walnut etc:

Also shown there, I like Sheepfoot blades. However, I also like long skinny knives/blades like this:

I'm hoping to try some other types of traditionals like lagouille, higo no kami, and navaja.

I'm not sure yet, but I do think I prefer single blades traditionals.

I live large two blade folding hunters and Bowies because they are just cool.

I love Trappers because my first pocketknife was a Trapper.

I love pearl handled knives. (Though I do not own one)

This one is not mine, but is hauntingly lovely.


I really love ebony, though I have never owned a knife with the handle material. I have held and admired some.

The Toms Choice sure do hit a lot of sweet spots. Stamped bolsters, ebony, long pulls.......for some reason the stars have not aligned for me, but some day....

My favorite blade shape, far and away, is the wharncliffe. Doesn't matter the knife, modern or traditional, it's just such a graceful and useful design. I like a sheepsfoot too, but it seems a little more utility to me. Swedges and rounded spines are icing on the cake.

I don't have any good pics to show as I believe that I've already shared them at one point or another.

What I'm most interested in trying is a one-armed-bandit/one hand opener/razor, followed by something with a punch/marlin spike or screwdriver. Also, a Barlow.
Yes, I have much to try yet!
