Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

Really like that one, John! I'm a big fan of RR's 2-blade half-hawk pattern AND RR's denim micarta.:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Clip/pen Imperial jack with celluloid covers, I think (thanks, Tom):

Stiff-ish pulls are mostly due to strong spring tension, but partly also due to binding between the liners, though nowhere near as bad as is typical with knives of this ilk. Snaps shut with an authoritative “CLACK”:

I put it to good use today working on a walking stick project.

Thanks 🤝👍
What gets me is the excellent f&f and w&t !! 😍
John 😁

I got this little one for pretty much nothing off the auction site. Thought it was neat and have carried it for several years now on fishing trips to the creek. Scissors work great for cutting line. Very heavily made and the subject matter is nice. Says “barlow china” on the blades haha.

Oriental Imperial Schrade work knife that's at least as good as any of my Sodbuster Jr. style knives (and it's still listed at under $6, but currently out of stock, at my usual online retailer):

I have a couple of these, one of the Junior size and one of the full size. They are awesome knives for the money! Take a screaming sharp edge too.
