Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

I think I've decided.

Does a Case Sodbuster JR count as "affordable"? If not, I'll delete it from my carry.
I received this one as a gift from a very generous anonymous member, a couple years ago.

I'm going to guess the pre-1988 Imperial Prov RI (no "USA" on the tang stamp) unofficial Scout/Camp knife cost less than a concurrent Ulster Official BSA Scout/Camp knife ... probably under $10, at any rate when new.
(note the pen blade instead of a punch.)
The Rough Rider RR603 yellow stockman is only $9.99.
I think the Marbles MR139 fishing knife was about the same ... maybe a little less.

Those, and the ones you posted a couple of weeks ago, are thrifty treasures!:thumbsup::cool:
FWIW, if I'm understanding what the tang stamp looks like on your Imperial scout, that dates from 1936-1952. (Google "imperial tang stamps" and you'll find links to lots of charts so you can verify it yourself, in case I'm misunderstanding what the tang stamp is.)

I bought an Old Timer Limited Edition Gift Set containing 3 Chinese Old Timer patterns back around Thanksgiving 2015. The entire box cost under $19, so I'll say each knife was a thrifty purchase. I'll post one today and one on each of the next two Thursdays. Today's featured knife is an 18OT Mighty Mite single-blade linerlock:

As a preview of coming attractions, here's the entire set:

Number 12? ... no ... that would be Ulster, I think ...?

Fantastic knife. I've only seen (and owned) the clip blade version before.
They seem to be a lot more scarce than the clip. This is one of two I own; the other one is almost mint. I prefer sheepsfoot barlows.
