Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

I like that MOTS Imperial fish knife and the photo!:cool::thumbsup:

I have a similar photo, although the sunfish knife went to another BF member in a GAW:

Another member of the Johnson Century Model 100B Club! :D👍
If it’s still together and not missing any parts it probably does work. I still use this one every now and then trout fishing.

Those Johnson reels are classics- getting hard to find and they’re getting expensive
I think it's all there. I picked it up at a yard sale years ago, and never got around to putting line on it.

Picked this bad boy up for under 10 bucks at a local gun store about a year ago. Still haven't gotten around to cleaning it up. It's honestly not in bad shape. I'm torn between restoring or just using as is.

Love it! 👍 My grandma left me her Imperial fish knife just like that one. Great photo!😎👍
Hope your enjoying your fish knife lm sure it has many memories of your grandma. Thanks for the photo comment .

Unfortunately, the Mighty Mite which is the current GEC 05 , won't qualify for thrifty in terms of cost  Might come under the skimpy heading though or even scalped....;)

A new warranty replacement (for a busted back spring) is on the way. It'll probably go in my pocket when it gets here ... even tho I rarely require a hawkbill these days. I haven't been doing much gardening lately.)
Today's cost is all of $6.99 (includes a lifetime warranty.)
Marbles MR409 "G.I. Knife".

I'll probably pair it with these: Marbles MR278 "G.I. Utility Knife"/"Demo Knife" and Marbles MR139 Douk Douk type "fishing knife".
(the fish scaller on the spine makes it a "fishing knife", correct?
The MR278 is $6.99, I think the MR139 was about the same price ... maybe a dollar less when bought it 6 or 7 years ago.

(Semi-Thrfty (over $20 yet under $25) that I have on my belt today is a BTI Old Timer 25OT two blade slipjoint folding hunter.)

Today with the Victorinox parer, $7 knife ( available as low as $3 ) and $7 for the sheath ( available as low as $5 )

I'll be switching to a Dexter equivalent that arrived yesterday when I pick its sheath up from the po box later this afternoon.
Pricing on the dexter is about the same, the sheath being a little nicer costs a bit more.
