Nice! I am thinking something similar....."historically accurate Bowie"/beefed up chef's knife.
It's already a fighter AND a kitchen knife AND would no doubt perform passably as a "outdoors/camp knife."
I was thinking from the "other end"....

with a chef's knife.
Becker BK 15What would you keep if you had to throw out every sharp piece of steel you own. What can you live with to do everything?
Pretty tough to choose only one knife. I really don't have a good answer to your post. What would you choose? What would you keep if you had to throw out every sharp piece of steel you own. What can you live with to do everything?
This was the kind of knife I was thinking of as well. An example is the Bark River Wilderness Explorer I own. But I just can't see myself pealing potatoes with it unless the world ended as we know it..... so my feelings essentially are answered below.Camillus Fisk OVB bowie.

NO is the best answer.
Me too. It works well for kitchen, camp, utility, self defense, and opening packages/cardboard.Becker BK 15
That is a good choice. I really like the BK-15. It in fact is a model (reference point) I use when looking at other knives. I could see peeling potatoes with a BK-15. Much bigger and it becomes rather clumsy for me.Me too. It works well for kitchen, camp, utility, self defense, and opening packages/cardboard.
