Haha, I think we get it Akapennypincher, you think all Emersons should be left as is because their perfect and we shouldn't buy one if we don't want it exactly as it came from the factory. Maybe you should avoid these threads where people are asking/talking about making mods or changes to their knives.
No I think you got it wrong, I am not into messing with what I find works.
Case in point so maybe you can comprehend my thinking. I use t have a Smith & Wesson Model 39, and 59, and spent a lot of money on both to make them reliable enough to trust my life too. This was in the mid 1970’s.
In the end I decided to return to my trust Model 19 Smith & Wesson, as I decided it was more reliable than the Model 39, or 59.
I actually shot the autos better, than the revolver, shooting DE, not just Expert. But like I said I never felt the Model 39, or 59 was totally reliable, there were always hick ups.
Today this fellow name Gaston Glock has come up with these wonderful Safe Action Semi Automatic pistols, that are totally reliable out of the box. Sometime refereed to as Glock perfection. Yes there are peple who modify their Glocks, not me.
If I wa still a Law Dog, and had my choice today of the Smith & Wesson 19, 39, or 59, or last a Glock. I would have a Glock on my hips.
I see no reason to modify my Emerson CQC-7 to me it is just PERFECT the way Mr. Emerson sent it out too me. Now if I could buy a Mini CQC-15 in a True Left Handed Version, I would place an order tomorrow.
But Emerson only make the CQC-7, and Commander in limited Left handed models. I know why because true southpaws like me are maybe 12-15% of the population. Or potential market, why cater to a minority, when you can sell to the majority.
