Ti Framelock Folder Options (S30V / ~3" Blade)

OP:
That's great!

I actually went from considering the sage II as an alternative to a sebenza. I went for the sebenza, just because that's what i was after at the time and there wasn't any compromise. however, you seemed to be after the sage II in the first place, so awesome choice!
It definitely has some distinctive advantages: FFT, ergos. I'm actually considering it for future knife purchases..

There are so many great knives. I've had a handful of ti framelocks: Bradley Alias II, Benchmade 760, Benchmade MPR, and a small Sebenza 21. Never tried the Sage II. I liked the Bradley Alias II, but found the thumb stud to be uncomfortable. The small Sebenza was certainly nice, but I didn't find it to be worth the price and the ergonomics were sub par compared to many of the knives are the market. I recently invested in a Spyderco Leafstorm because its very unique and possesses an artistic quality missing in many knives in the this price range. I do believe the ergonomics are less than ideal because of the potential for the index finger to slip onto the blade, but this can be prevented with skill. In addition, the Leafstorm has after market scales available through Kevin Wilkins/Moore Cutlery. The Sage II looks to be very comfortable, but I tend towards USA produced knives. On the other hand, I think its a better utility knife than the Leafstorm. Another knife that I think is really cool is the Spyderco PPT because is combines the best of the frame lock and liner lock with, what looks to be, great ergonomics and a awesome blade.

I don't know about regular production, but I do see them available. I think BladeHQ had a few in stock, and they show up used occasionally.

I emailed Bradley who informed me that the Alias line is still in regular production just in smaller batches and it tends to sell out befor they can be updated as in stock on websites.

New Graham has the Alias 2 in stock right now.

I asked them a month ago when they would have some and they emailed me yesterday.

For edc, I feel my Para Military can handle anything. The Compression lock is superb. fwiw.
You can not go wrong with Spyderco.

If the Sage 2 had a 3.5" blade at a similar price point it would be the greatest folding knife in the history of mankind. :D
