Ti-Lock Now Available

$475 for the Ti Lock
Ouch

So how does it work? From the pics it looks like the thumbstuds are spring loaded and slip into the recess in the handle when the knife is open. Then you push the studs up to unhook and close the knife. Is that about right?

$475 is 20 dollars more than a large inlay s30v sebenza. Lets not get out of perspective here.

I'm excited about the Ti Lock. The lock looks strong enough, precluding any refrigerator deanimation. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but the blade length and overall length are squarely in between the small and large sebenza. That's the size of CRK folder I've been pining for since I bought a small and then a large seb. The small is too small and the large is too large.

I'm not quite sure about what's going on with the Tilock's clip though. Is that tip up or tip down? Does it work like a normal clip?

That I believe is the G&G "Grip" clip, it's tip up.

This is definitely a cool looking folder, but I'm not getting the lock. I'll need to see it in action.

It looks like you could use the studs, but that's an interesting observation.

That's got my interest.I feel the same way about the small & large.

on a side note:That locking mechanism looks like it may get dirty too easily,& possibly interfere with lock-up.(just my opinion from what I can see in the pics)

Finally something new! The locking system looks as a good simple alternative to a framelock. But I have to say I'm not too fond of the overall design of the knife, though one have to see it in real to appreciate it, supposedly... I'm definitely looking forward to see more pics.

Some quick comparison specs (large Sebenza, Ti-Lock and small Sebenza).

Steel: S30V, S35VN, S30V
Blade length: 3.625, 3.250, 2.940"
Overall Length: 8.335, 7.190, 6.875"
Weight: 4.7, 3.0, 3.0 oz

Other specs much the same. Interesting that it is the same weight as the small Sebenza. Makes me like it that much more, especially with the blade length between the two Sebbies. Liking it more and more.

I like it & I'll probably get it.I just wish the price was closer to $400 instead of 500.

Thanks for all the info knappster007.

Cool looking design. Do you put your finger on the titanium leaf spring to open it? Maybe if it sells well enough the price will come down to a price point I'd be willing to pay.

I think it's absolutely beautiful both in looks and design. But then I am CRK mad-in-the head :D

As far as I know, the release date is late on the year but I have already asked about reserving one. I've made a new flat blackthorn stand recently and it has one gap left - this boy will be on that spot, all being well

Well done to everyone involved.

Oh cool!

While it's enticing, I need a Mnandi and a 'zaan before picking up one of those.

With the new pics, I must say I really like the new folder. Its a new twist of a slip joint style, only the spring is attached to the blade itself instead of the hilt. Plus it has a new blade steel, which should make many happy. The only thing I dont like about it is its price, I cant see me spending $475 for a folder right now. I would rather buy a tanto zaan first. Honestly, it seems overpriced a bit. The umnumzaan is CRK's ultimate folder and its only $400??? Maybe the zaan is underpriced......lol. I am guessing the extra $75 is for the Hawks ?? Overall it is really cool and different, I would liek to get one, but it will be own the road I think.....!
