Ti-Lock Now Available

I think the Ti Lock is a cool innovation. The GG clip would be welcome - untold pairs of pants pockets are frayed from traditional knife clips.

Need to handle and use one before making a judgment one way or the other.

I am not sold on it looks-wise. Also, from this thread, I don't get the blue thingy on the blade, nor how the blade deploys. duh...

The blue bar is part of the lock, and I'm guessing the thumbstuds are used to open it.

I like the idea of that lock a lot, I wonder how easy it is to use one handed ?

The knife looks like it's a great size and shape but I really don't like the blue anodizing on the spring or the handle
cut outs. I fear the cut outs alone are a deal breaker for me on this one, I can't stand that sort of stuff :(.

It took me a year + to even start warming up to the Umnumzaan handle texturing and I still don't like it. I hope CRK
don't start to add these "extras" to all of their new knives, I'll take a plain Jane over a fancy Nancy every time. :p:thumbup:

I am suprised how many people cant figure out how to open it or close it ??? You can see by the grooves in the handle how the thumb lugs ride on the end into the locked position. When closing, simply lift up slightly with your thumb and rotate it back to the closed position. Its definately different than a frame lock like we are used to from CRK, but this is not overly difficult to see how it operates.

I really like the design, I just think the price is a little high though. If it was $400 like the Umnumzaan, I would get one. The extra $75 is probably Hawk's cut......lol. Though eventually if we wait a few weeks/months, you will see them for $400 on the forums from people who dont like them, just like you now see Umnumzaans in the $300-$325 range.

Could you direct me to those guys selling Umnumzaans in the ball park of $300? I'm in the market for another one. I'd love to have a Zaan backing up my Zaan.

You see them on the various knife forums, and on ebay. You see alot in the $325 range, $300 is a little rarer, but if your patient, you will find one.

I quit looking as I already have one. The zaan is a tough as nails knife and Highly Recommend It !!!

I like the looks - it appears a lot of engineering went into that one.

The price does hurt a little.

I think I will sit on the sidelines for a while and see what everyone else thinks after they have had a chance to put theirs to the test. A little too much money for me to be pioneering on this one.

My Umnumzaan (and soon to be Nyala) will get me thru til then.

Its funny, I just sold my tanto sebenza and had funds for a new knife. I actually forgot about this one for awhile. I ended up getting a new large regular native american sebenza after looking though the picture thread. I had wanted one for awhile, but forgot about them........
I did a google search after seeing it in the picture thread. Found one at Moore Cutlery and got it.........Came on here after being out of town for a few days and saw that while I was gone, someone posted they were looking for one also. Saw a link to get one in the thread.......happened to be the one I got.
Sorry bud, I got your knife......lol. I do know where more are for sale, so just PM me and I will let you know who else has some.

But back to the original topic, for another $20 I could have gotten the Ti-Lock. I believe Plaza Cutlery said they are going to have a Dog Paws Ti-Lock, so I would rather get that one anyways. I too think I will wait for a bit on this one. I would definately have to sell something to fund it. I have been pondering selling my large regular moon song....but not yet !!!

I bought my umnum off the forum for $300 back in January. It's was sharpened but sharpened VERY well by the previous owner on an Apex. Since it's a user for me it was well worth the money saved.

I want one of these, but Plaza Cutlery is going to have Dog Paw versions at the end of the year/early next year. I would rather have one with puppy paws on it !!!

This looks to be available from Lynn O Olson already or are they pre-selling?
I can add it to the cart and check out..I have not done so....but I am wondering if they really have it? bah- It's late and I have had a long day..I am probably seeing things..
