Ti Military vs G10 Military

The Ti Mili weighs 37% more than the G-10 model. 118gm vs 162gm. I like the Ti version because it uses fewer parts, is more corrosion resistant, and provides a more secure anchor for the pocket clip screws. The frame lock is especially robust. You can slip an S90V blade in the Ti handle.

I like the robust feeling of the Ti Military but overall have to give the nod to the G10 version as I think it suits the overall purpose of the knife. The blade is a cutting machine and I've never had an issue with the liner lock. I cut the insulation out of the bottom of a car including wiring with a standard partially serrated millie. It held up well and the tip survived but the black finished was trashed. I sharpened it and tightened the pivot and it was good to go.

G10 is light, resistant to wear and tear, resistant to chemicals and most of all grippy. The frame lock gives me no added peace of mind although it is a bit more robust. The added weight of the Ti frame , IMO, makes it a bit of a different beast than what makes the Millie so great. Not bad, just my opinion.

That being said; i do really dig the Ti frame lock with G10 slab on the opposite side. Pretty damn ideal.

I like the M4 Millie with the G10/Ti handles. The Ti handle puts a little weight right against your palm which seems to make for a nice feel. Also like the frame lock. The full G10 handles are sweet too with their lightness. Haven't handled a full Ti Millie, but I don't mind Ti as much as the slick Stainless handles on say an Endura or Police.

Got my Ti fluted Mil a couple of days ago and I REALLY like it. Light weight, grippy, rounded handle, feels good in the hand, not "blocky", and is simply awesome looking. Never owned a G10 model so I can't compare, I'm simply not a fan of G10 but it looks like it would be a great knife for the price.
