Wow! Looking forward for it! I hope it will be Full size ZDP Cyclone following.

Thanks, Vassili.

wow-

might have to get one and find someone to install a bushing and have a sebenza killer-
heck i might just bring it over to my buddies machine shop and try it myself-

i like the way the handles look alot and the blade is sweet

Neato for sure  the handle shape reminds me of Scallion sort of.
Than again maybe my eyes are playin tricks on me.

Great looking piece as per Kershaw's usual  . I'm probably going to have to pass, as I do have a hard time with ZDP as I've learn't from my Leek.

Now if there was only a G-10/S30V version.........:D

This has all the right stuff to make a successful model. I'll probably check it out at local stores once they come out, but there's something about the looks that just doesn't appeal to me. Being a big Spyderco fan, I must at least give it the benefit of the doubt and handle one before judging it. I do have a little concern about chipping problems with ZDP. Not trying to start something here, but it really seems like recently I've seen more posts complaining about ZDP chips than S30V...

i guarantee kershaw learned a thing or two about zdp since the introduction of the zdp leek-

and that looks like a much stronger tip than the zdp leek

I can't wait! It looks better than I imagined! I'll probably host a passaround for this knife to prove that ZDP works much better with this blade shape! Look for the details in the passaround forum later this month!

I think Kershaw have all this becase it make available premium steel on premium knives for affordable price, as usual. In result peple start using it all this ways. I guess W&H - another manufacturer who offers ZDP+Titanium folders with similar blade profile for about $500 without AO does not have such a problem with their customers and so making all knives with ZDP only now.

Knowing this, I treat my ZDP+Titanium as it is for $500 not what was really paid for it - because I was waiting for ZDP with titanium for a while.

I am really thankful for Kershaw for making this knives available - alternatve is too expensive. I hope this "voices of the customer" I hear again and again will not damage Kershaw commitment to deliver premium steel on premium knives with affordable price tag. After all I guess there are no any problems selling this knives - and it is not only me Kershaw's loyal customer now.

Thanks, Vassili.

Great looking knife. The smooth lines, thin profile and 4.0 oz weight should make it a breeze to carry and use. Looking forward to these.

Oh wow. You guys are going to break all of us this year aren't you? I'll have to get me one of those to check out now. Add another to the list. That list is getting pretty darn long between my top three companies right now.

Does that mean that only a few retailers will be getting them? If so, can you say whom?
I think you will be able to get these through all your normal sources, they just may be limited in their availablity. Don't wait too long before ordering, and you should be fine.
I would think street prices should be really reasonable.

I have been using one for the last few weeks, and it is a really nice carry and has easily taken down every chore put in front of it.
Also, it is tapped for tip up/down carry.

Thomas, do you guys have an approximate edge thickness and angle for it yet? I'm not trying to start any crap, just curious. I know you have to worry about the average Joe damaging it, so I realize it won't be as thin as some of us knike nuts would like to see it. Personally, even the thinnest factory edges (no matter who makes them) usually aren't thin enough for me, so no matter what the thickness/angle is I would probably reprofile it, but like I said I'm curious.

Thomas,

They should book you in for career day at the local elementary. If I had known as a child that I could be PAID, to carry around the latest interesting gear before anyone else, get to work with all those presumably hot ladies who handle the phones (I don't know if this is true for sure, but they do sound hot on the phone), and get to travel meeting other like-minded people, I'm not sure I would have stuck to the path I'm currently on :p .

Yes, they are introdusing too many "must have" knives!

Thanks, Vassili.

You forgot the massive amount of sucking up that Thomas has to do.

The ladies ARE hot (one of them is married), that is nice, but there are no knife companies in Vancouver, are there?

Oh, if you knew the stories of "like minded people" you would get your mind off of "Thomas envy" real quick. The bottom line is that, in general, category buyers are pretty clueless about cutlery, and a lot of them don't really care that much.
