Ti/ZDP Cyclone...Pic....

Every job has its up and downs...wasn't implying that Thomas' was some type of utopian paradise, but rather just displaying a little light-hearted envy at all the toys he's got to mess around with :) .

About the knife companies in Vancouver, not too sure about that though I know Peter Marzitelli is from New Westminster I believe. Regarding the ladies, I bet most Vancouverites would agree that we have the prettiest in Canada, and I hope I didn't come across as lewd with my earlier comment, just saying it must be nice to work alongside all those pleasant voices.

Hey Guys,

The cyclones will be at the assembly dept next week.

Per Steve - Only DLC coating on these - sorry.

Enjoy.

Craig:)

Hurry Hurry Hurry Hurry Hurry! I can't wait!

I am trying to find a reason why this won't be the PERFECT knife!

Other than a BORON Random Leek, the ZDP Cyclone might have it all...

1. Frame Lock
2. Titanium handle
3. Great Steel (and IMO, the best blade shape for ZDP)
4. SpeedSafe AO
5. On/Off switch for the AO
6. reversible pocket clip (I pretty sure)

I am curious why Kershaw chose to coat the blade. I though the uncoated ZDP on the Leek looked great. Does it add any strength to the blade?

1. It is a PITA to get to an eye-pleasing finish.

2. The composition of the steel (pretty much carbon and chrome) does not offer very much resistance to pitting. Coating the steel helps to obviate this problem. It does not add structural "strength" to the blade.

Best Regards,

Thanks Steven, that does make sense. I forgot about the finish aspects of the ZDP.

I will add an amendment about my statement above about the PERFECT knife: I think the Ken Onion Taboo with the Grey Titanium and burgundy inserts is the perfect knife. Sorry Kershaw, but I think you'll understand :)

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but where can I find the ZDP Cyclone for sale? I really like the Cyclone and the addition of ZDP and Ti really make it a must-have knife. I don't have a ZDP blade in my collection yet and would like to add this one.

Thanks!

Really nice! Mine should be arriving tomorrow afternoon. I may just buy another one as a future Father's Day gift.
