You're welcome :-)

Question on this design. How do the Kami is securing the blade in the handle without butcap?

I think he's talking about the Hanuman Karda. Just laha right? No pins, no butt cap?

Whoops, sorry. :o
Yes, it is secured only by laha in the traditional manner.
Many Arsenal khukuri served thru 2 world wars secured in this manner.
It may or may not need to be resecured during your lifetime. Most likely not.

Thank you guys - sounds reassuring.

With all the goodies that comes with it. I was hoping to put this beauty to work with me in the woods.
Sounds that it will...

Thanks again.

We do have a member or so that does use them in the woods.
Just please realize that it is not on the list in the warranty for field usage.

Oh... then maybe it wont. Thanks for the update.

Personally other than it's too pretty to use I think it would be just fine for a camp/hiking knife used with discretion.

There's no warranty but I bet it would still be a great work horse, again with discretion.

Except for Auntie's warranties are usually not worth the paper they are wrote on anyhow, too many lawyers and fine print any more. And with Auntie I don't worry about a warranty anyhow. She'll take care of us without question if it's their fault which seems to be rather uncommon.

I love that Tibetan sword. I had one briefly I won in a contest . Our late forum friend DannyinJapan was absolutely smitten with it as it fit his martial arts style and I know nothing about fighting with a sword:p
I traded it to him for some misc ninjas goodies which I cherish since he was a friend, but i have always missed that massive sword. Maybe next month I'll see if Yangdu has another one around:)

Lovely piece of steel.:)

I'll think about it but I lean toward not stressing it. I want to keep it nice.

Meanwhile the last shipping I got included a monster work horse (DOTD 1-24 16.5 inch 29 ounce Vojpuri Chiruwa Ang Khola from Vojpur) for which I wouldn't worry of damaging.
This thing is an absolute beast.

Is Vojpur a Kami or a location? The blade has no marks.

I scaled up some measurements from two of the photos above and the blade length (tip to guard) came to 23" or 23 and a quarter inch.
