Tibetan Short Sword and Hanuman for 2/10

NTT - OAL is 31.5", it's a little shorter than usual, they usually come in around 35"-36", but still really nice.

Sorry Steely, auntie said mine should be coming next month, unless there's two or more of them...:)

I was thinking of getting this 31" too, they both fit my needs, but I tend to practice with 34" to 37" straightswords (Wu Jian). I been thinking though, 31" should be more agile and faster, since it's lighter, and with the shorter length, the balance point ought to be closer to the guard.....hmmmm.....maybe I need a good nights sleep to think it over, or hopefully, maybe someone will pick it up and save me the trouble of "thinking it over"...lol

Tks very much for the info Cul. Bad news is that I just confirmed with our police licensing dept that the sword needs to be blunt to import . Got to give it a miss!

Good guess guys! You know theres an easier way. Use the tread count of Auntis grass matt. Its 100 threads/in. Theres 2316 threads across the blade! Therefore 3150-2316 =handle length=834, therefore blade length=3150-834=2316  Now see how easy that was:D I went to Collige!
I did the same thing, Steve :D

Beat ya to it! Do I win something for that?

I know, my willpower is withering. Need another shark to save me, not just from myself, but from my wife too, assuming of course I give that beautiful sword a home too.

I keep telling myself that I'm money ahead because my awesome dad paid off my new garage door as a housewarming/birthday gift for my wife and me...then I look at what we still owe on our credit cards from Christmas:p

My wife it watching me like a hawk;) I better hold off for a bit:D

I know all about them silly credit cards. I was all worried and stressed thinking we were 5 or 6 grand in them high interest robber cards, turns out that was nothing to worry about at all, it's 10x that much. Now that's a genuine concern.
My wife used to be a bank manager, one would think she would know about high interest credit cards and paying the minimum ain't getting you now where.
Oh well I'm told you can't take it with you anyhow.

EMS on sword...couldn't fight it anymore.

"Done Deal", I just love those words.

its a great sword, and I too love those words, I even used them the other day and then smiled about the secret implication of blade joy

Thanks guys, I was hoping it was still there, then all of a sudden, my fingers was typing, and I had to "pull the trigger"...lol. my hands just had a mind of their own. I do feel extraordinarily happy, and anxious now. I like it...:)

Congrats Cul4u01 I should look through the old listings and see if I missed any other wonderful treasures. I thought all of the DoTDs from the past would be sold by now.

That's great it was still waiting for you. It's one strong and solid-looking sword. Your fingers want to wrap themselves around that handle -- they work hard for you, they deserve it. :D

There was a very nice Katana a month or so ago. I don't recall anybody ever grabbing it. Little more than most DOD's at around 500 as I recall but a tremendous value. Very ornate sterling silver sheath, a real beauty.

I saw the Katana too! It was extraordinarily beautiful. A little too rich for this sharks blood, but oh, such a beauty!

I looked through all the old DotD threads I could find and didn't see a katana. Probably out of my price range but I really wanted to see the pictures LOL.
