Time for a GIVEAWAY!!!!

It's a good thing I had my knife with me, otherwise...
I would not be here to tell you about Alice's restaurant. Now, "Alice's Restaurant" is not the name of the restaurant.

See it all started two Thanksgivings ago, that's two years ago on Thanksgiving...

(OK fine, I'm not making up a whole story based around the Arlo Guthrie song. A) I'm strapped for time, and B) I'm just not funny enough to do it justice, but you get the idea.)

Man if you coulda done it, the knife would probably be on its way to you for sure :D
But that songs like 17min or something so I don't think you can even make a post that long..

Now as to not bring this off track.

I'm glad I had my knife on me, otherwise I would've had to tear open that stubborn baby Ruth wrapper and potentially end up with a caddy shack situation.

.....
I would not have been able to open the the screwdriver bit on a gerber multitool.

It's like you need one multi tool to open another multi tool.

It's a good thing I had my knife with me, otherwise the only byrd I had to flip might have gotten me shot on my commute!

Amazing edge on that Byrd, by the way!

If only. It's a good idea, I just have neither the time, nor disposition to really pull it off.

If someone wants to take the idea and run with it, I give full license and will forfeit my entry.

Edit to add: do a good job with the idea and you might even earn a spot in the group W bench.

I thought it was about time for a giveaway, so here we go.

The prize is a Byrd Meadowlark 2 with a new mirror polished edge:

A fantastic little knife. Like a Delica with better ergonomics. Perfect centering and lockup on this one. I think it might've been a light user.

Rules are as follows:

Open to anyone in the contiguous US.

Entrants must finish the story below. My wife and I will select a winner. Probably whichever we find funniest. Who knows? It's my giveaway; deal with it.

Multiple entries are fine, but keep it reasonable. Don't flood the thread please.

Finish this thought:

Good luck and thanks for playing.
I would have to borrow yours!!

I realize I don't get a vote, but if I did, this post gets it.
It's a good thing I had my knife with me, otherwise......I would have had to spread the peanut butter with my penis, again........

In my mind I saw Kramer doing it in Jerry's kitchen. Which made it even funnier. Nicely done sir.

I might have been mugged while walking in downtown Seoul, Korea one night many years back. The knife in question was a 5 inch Cold Steel Voyager Tanto and when it snapped open the would be muggers backed off and left.
