Time for a new edc blade

My 0566 is still my EDC because of the size but I just got a ZT0562 yesterday and it is one beautiful beast, not as large as the 0560 and not as small as the 0566.

Because of the drywall you mentioned and the dust that is associated with it I might consider a fixed blade.

The benchmade 275 really has caught my eye lately but I'm afraid it's just too big and bulky for edc. Or so I've heard. Have you ever carried it in your pocket, if so what do you think about it in the role of edc?

The Adamas is a beast, but it can definitely be a brick in the pocket. If you like it, tbough, why not go for an H&K 14715? It seems like pretty much exactly what you ordered, a tougher, beefed up Griptilian/Adamas kind of hybrid.

The Spyderco Manix 2 XL is a big, strong knife with G-10 and S30V steel. Great price also.

It is definitely not for the feint of heart, or for wearing in skinny jeans (thick) or dress pants and basketball shorts (heavy), but if you're wearing loose or relaxed fit jeans (or any heavier material pants without tight pockets), if you don't mind the weight in general it actually carries quite well due to a good design, good balance, and good texturing that doesnt snag: and it is an absolute hand tank! Feels like you could cut open a car door with it. I'm sure you can't, but it feels like you could...the d2 steel will work hard for you too, and keep cutting even when you think it's dull.
I actually carry a recently purchased 810contego, a bit Longer but also a bit thinner and lighter, still not a candy cake knife by any stretch though. I have the m390 version, but the m4 version would offer superb toughness on the job site, another great knife you may want to consider if you want to consider something in the 4" range...

I'm admittedly not a fan of serrations either but cardboard and zip ties are two things that serrations cut well. Just a thought. Many of the blades suggested are good ones.

If you liked the griptilian, but didn't like the roundness, why not try a spyderco manix? Similar lock, ffg, and the edge will last longer with s30v
