It was a gift from the wife- and was obscenely expensive. I will say that it has held up extremely well, for being a fancy froo-froo wallet. It think the wallet in the picture is fake, but the one in my pocket is real. They look about the same though.

I'm carrying a Maxpedition Spartan, which is great--aside from being Velcro, and easily overloaded.

I'm glad this thread is up! I've been wanting to swap out to a leather wallet and retire the Maxpedition to Camping, beach days and the like, but have no idea where to start looking.

I bought a Coach DOUBLE BILLFOLD PASSCASE ID WALLET about 10 years ago... it is still in great shape, and has a lifeime warranty on it. I am very happy with the way it has lasted....

I used to stop by the Coach store down at South Street Seaport in New York City.
Everything they had was first class. GREAT place to shop for gifts. :)

Whoever mentioned Saddleback Leather just cost me a few bucks. Oh, that was me! and Ozy, and TyMathews, and garciajr, and Grimspoon -- whose excellent review probably influenced my choice, same as his, of the large bifold.

I did look long and hard at LeatherGoods Connection. They have an impressive selection and I may go for their Hipster Passport Wallet someday.

I am pleased with my all-ett international in spinnaker cloth, which I think Esav recommended to me last time this topic came up. I keep feeling like it is going to wear out, but it never does. Their website rates their life span at 2 years or so....which for a 20 buck wallet is ok with me. bout a year in on mine

I carry a Maxpedition Spartan wallet it is the only wallet you will ever need. It is built like a tank. I have carried mine for 2 years. It still looks new. It has so many cool features. It is worth a look.

I got a pair of both the CountyComm leather and nylon wallets but have never really used them as wallets. I use one of them for business cards as they were a bit too sparse for what I needed in a minimalist wallet.
I soon after bought a pair of LA Police Gear wallets on close out for $3 each and these are great:

They're either out of stock or discontinued now but it's been my main wallet since last July. I use a 2nd wallet for secondary items/cards that are not used that often.

Another voter for Spec Ops brand.

I've had mine for at least 5-6 years, wash it once in a while, good as new.

I dont ever see this wallet wearing out.

Google "capsul wallet" and you'll see a very cool, useful, cheap alternative. I have a couple and they are great.
