Time for partial retirement.

Uncle Bill, good to know that you're taking a break, in the long run it's healthier. Everyone else has pretty much said the good stuff, so I won't be a parrot and repeat, but I too wish you well.:D

Bill,
Have a happy BD! Hmmm, come to think of it RETIREMENT sounds kind of good!! I think THE SAINT might also retire kinda permenently!!I have ALL the K's I will ever need EXCEPT for some I will manage to get from JP! Have to think about it, might just fade away quietly!
THE SAINT!

Uncle Bill

Let me add my well wishes to the others here. Time to put into perspective the real reason we are on this planet. It is NOT to die at a computer screen! Best of luck! Enjoy!

UB: Can't think of anything to add. Good thoughts & best wishes coming your way. What you've built should give you pride and comfort.

Errrrrrhhh Uncle Bill,

Now that you're gonna be wondering what to do with all the free time, have you considered meeting a few volunteers at the Nepal Airport and taking a couple of days to tour the workshop at Birgorka, test the Nepalese beer, revisit some favorite restaurants, scrounge up a few villagers at a bargain price, etc.

  :D ;)

Uncle, you're a man who means much to many, your absence will be sorely felt, but if anyone has honorably earned a time of rest it's you. Should you ever have need, your many nephews stand ready to serve, count me as one of that number.

Bill - drop a line if you ever come up this direction.

Ya know, there are some who believe that after years of labor and devotion, society somehow owes them a favor - and retirement is the time to start collecting it.

Glad to see you've chosen otherwise. ;)

Happy Birthday Uncle Bill. Hope you enjoy your extra time.:D

Ha! I thought you were retired...well welcome to the club and enjoy that time with Family and Friends

retired since Dec 99' Your late!

You've done so much fer so many. What other knife co. will make custom designs at such reasponable prices, hardly covers the additional hassle.

Glad to hear Pala and you are planning for the future. Long live Bir Ghorka!

Keith

Take time for yourself, loved ones and friends, Bill. Sometimes, it has to be said that there are more important things than a job.

But total and full retirement is not entirely good either. So your original plan is pretty sound to me - 25-35 per cent retirement.

Like most of your friends say, take it easy from now on, you deserve it. You have got plenty of lifelong friends here, and we are all rooting for you. :)

Good for you Uncle Bill! :)

Enjoy those folks while you can, and do it without a trace of guilt--you've done a HUGE amount of good, and by bringing happiness to your dad, Brother and friends, you'll continue to do so.

Best wishes:)

Uncle Bill -
I only got to know of you a short time ago & I liked what I saw! You're one of the best! ;) Now go & visit your friends but say HELLO once in awhile!:D Take care!

Take care of yourself, Uncle Bill. You do an excellent job with HI. Just how Bura's work has not deteriorated now that he doesn't swing the hammer, HI will not crumble if you step back and enjoy your retirement years. We know your presence and integrity will always be part of HI, and I hope you won't be a stranger to the forums.
