I had a first gen 0550 for a very short time, i loved the design and feel of the knife but it was difficult for me to open with my thumb so i sold or traded it (cant remember which now) ...It could of just needed broken in, or a bolt loosened or something, i honestly didnt give it a fair shake. I never do with folders really.

If i was gunna buy a ZT though it would be the 0180.. Vanadis 4E steel with tungsten DLC.. I think its a great looking blade, and that steel is very hard to beat. I wants it.

Funny enough, there's a 0180 for sale on the Exchange right now....first one I've seen there....not that I do that much looking *cough*.

And the 0561 is the same as the 0560 but with a brown scale instead of a black one. Elmax blade and KVT bearings, it is faster opening than any of my assisted knives.

Unfortunately i dont have a disposable 195 to give for it at the moment. Or i would.

I'm on board with Team Adley! Go for it, dude... I'd love to see a Beckerhead on TV with Mr. Stroud. Honestly, his approach and Ethan's philosophy and the stuff we all do at Gatherings and on our own seem to go together really well. No crazy BS, just skills that help you not die and hopefully, fun stuff, too.

I know what you mean about marketing/self-promotion... it feels pretty awkward, and sort of embarassing to me, too. But it simply has to be done if a person wants to meet certain goals like selling knives to put groceries on the table or getting on TV to share a fun, helpful point-of-view about surviving and thriving in the outdoors. A great product or concept just isn't enough... there has to be a personality attached to it as well.

Of course, that doesn't mean a person has to be a loudmouth jerk about it (yo, I'z a gangsta, bitch! :rolleyes:) or do stoopid stunts like drinking pee to get attention... ;)

I first pitched Ka-Bar Kock Knockers, but it didn't take for obvious reasons, including the one you allude to.
Krew of Ka-Bar was next (honestly), but the acronym had "wrong" written all over it. Moose and trade talked some sense into me. :p
