That should be a ton of fun - and lots of good eats. My dad is from Dickenson Co and I've spent a ton of time in the Ramsey's Draft Wilderness. There was nothing like coming away from a multi-night trip up the Draft and stopping by Whites Way for a white bread hamburger...

Probably my favorite author. That he was able to write social commentary from a humanist point of view and wrap it in the guise of something outwardly innocuous and laugh out loud funny.....brilliant. I heard an interview with A.S. Byatt, who won a Man Booker award, and she was asked who her favorite author was; she answered Terry Pratchett, hands down, for people of all ages. He has written some great children's books as well if you have little ones.

I will miss not having new stuff from him. Luckily, he left behind a HUGE catalog that will still take some time to read.....
 
Just went for a dip in the hot tub with the kiddo's. Now daddy needs a nap, but I doubt I'll get one. Gonna make some KD!
 
WW: I wish my washing machine repair was as easy as your dryer repair. Front loaders rock when it comes to doing the laundry, but they SUCK when it comes to repair. The drum is banging around inside the concrete weighted housing. If I hadn't wasted so much time already, I'd give up. But even if all I succeed in doing is getting the drum out and determining the parts will be too expensive, then that's all I'll succeed in doing.....but I'll have a nice SS tub to turn into a kickass fire pit/grill.

I dont technically own the art yet... I paid the deposit but not the final amount yet as im waiting on the graphic overlay and HD image to be complete as well.... Point im making is i cant show the image yet.... I tried to capture it, print it, everything i could think of but the company is smart LMAO, watermarks show up everywhere and real dark writing comes up as well telling you you dont yet own the image, so that the image is barely visible.

They will release the image to me after the final payment, and ill even get a copyright for the image... At this point i will certainly show you guys.

Its nothing extremely fancy really.. Kind of basic, but im loving it. The artist is awesome as well, he doesnt try and influence my idea or water it down, and despite several changes/alterations he always seems happy to do/redo the work. Its not cheap.... But for someone like me with little artistic ability but wanting something truly original from your own mind... Its worth it IMO.

Dex may be out on Spring Break this week. Some Texas schools took this week off. Others are taking next week.
