Time to Close the Books for Awhile - UPDATE

Hope ya heal up quickly and without too much pain. I'm still loving my Tuxedo Fighter! Looking forward to seeing your future work.

Really sorry to hear this Tim. As someone who has torn his quad tendon, the road to recovery is hard, but just trust the doctors and physical therapists. I look forward to seeing you come back better than ever!:)

Ooooof. YOU are one tough SOB. I wish you the speediests of recoveries as well.

A sign of success is also common: Time to finish up 'orders' and make what you want, and then offer them to a sign up list or post them F/S. It's at that point you enjoy a new freedom of creativity.

I look forward to the NEW, EVEN BETTER TK in 2018. :D

I'm sorry to hear about those injuries Tim, the older we get the harder it is on us I swear, especially that ice. I Hope you get healed up quick and get your work done so you can get to those special projects your wanting to do.

Thanks to all for the well wishes - what a great community we have. :)

Yep, I was alone, it was 10 below, no cell phone, no gloves, and Susan was in Florida. Had to belly crawl to the heated shop and it did take awhile. The second fall was due to a sense of security because I had my ice cleats on - they don't always work!

TK TK. Now see what happens when you don't go to Florida with your wife? Just think- You could have been in my air-conditioned shop instead, no belly crawling required. What are gloves??
I hope you get feeling better soon buddy.

Saw this and I was happy thinking you were so booked up you had to play catch up for a while. Hate to read about the injuries, hope your docs get you put back together!

Lovestrand - you're killin' me pal! :D

Yeah, that was kind of an IQ test. Sunning yourself in Florida or low crawling in snow because your leg don't work. Hmmmmm. :D Hope you are on the mend.

Hope you get to feeling better soon TK, and you didn't do any lasting damage.

Florida sounds pretty good right now, and what is snow/ice?

;)

Best Regards,

I was just thinking about putting an order with you. No problem. It will wait. Wish you a speedy recovery. From my experience of mild frostbite, it will take about a month for the ends of your fingers to feel normal, but tendon injuries are always an annoyingly slow process.

I truly appreciate all the well wishes - thanks to all for taking the time to respond. :)

In my original post, I eluded to MRI results and it's worse than I thought. X-rays and MRI results show a complete rupture of the quadricep tendon, and the kneecap is precariously in alignment, held in part by a small muscle. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, Feb 26. Susan is fluttering around me, crushing me with love, sympathy, and food. So the next three obstacles will be 6-8 weeks in a brace, physical rehabilitation, and weight loss. :D

Take care boys and wear your ice cleats! :)

Ice cleats? We have no need for such annoying thingamajigs down here in God's country. Take care of yourself, listen to your therapist, & enjoy the fluttering, love, sympathy, & food while you can.

Feel better TK and I’m glad you got a loving wife

If ya need anything reach out

A little TK love

Wear it almost every day just had to sharpen and buff from using so much :)
