<> Thanks Amos for the kind remarks.. I really like this one as well.:)

<> HJ37,

Mr. Carson is as just as you describe! He is a wonderful old school custom knifemaker who is one of a kind and a class act! His custom traditional pattern knives are probably the best value for the dollar in America today.. But once people find out about him, his prices will be soaring ever higher, and of that I have no doubt!!

Your trapper is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! Great snag on that Mammoth Ivory. Notice how he left as much bark on the scales as he possibly could to give the knife a true old school cutler look. I love it.!.

Blessings~

Very nice knives gentlemen...Wendell is a first class act and its amazing that everyone who deals with him has the same kind remarks...

sunnyd,

If you are ever up for a little trading for that Cripple Creek let me know and maybe we could work out a deal...?? Starting with a Wendell Carson Mammoth Ivory with filework for starters..Your Cripple Creek trapper has got me lusting and drooling...

I don't collect or use trappers, but I couldn't resist this one a few years back, when I got hooked on ebay! 'course I'm over that now:D !
Anyway, here's my dogleg trapper! It makes me think of a Dodge Viper as compared to a Miata! It's either sculptural or cartoonish, depending on your point of view, whereas a regular size trapper is just a good practical knife! You like??

To borrow from Kurt Russell's Wyatt Earp character in Tombstone - yeah, maybe, h*(l I don't know! ;)

The frame is interesting, but that spey looks like something I imagine someone might use for a certain white powder.

Interesting all the time, but like some of those gals, it all depends on the light, the angle you're looking from, and your mood at the time. Sometimes she's attractive and other times she scares me.

LOL, Charlie, the day you surprise me is going to be the day you don't pull out something unusal. <chuckle>
