Time to stir the pot so to speak... What is your favourite becker knife and why?

I'd say my bk14 I never am without it on my person, though the bk10 is moving in over my bk2 as my go too woods knife I love it with the black and white micarta I got for it.

I would have thought it was funnier (and agreed) if the topic had said "What's your favorite Becker," instead of "what's your favorite Becker KNIFE." Last time I checked, Ethan wasn't a knife.

ohhh, gotcha. thanks for the correction. you're right. i didn't realize we were talking about knives. but, since we are quoting, should i reference the OP's first statement?... "So everyone go ahead and post what your fav becker is..." i thought it was funny. you did not. but, i did ask a question though, so fair enough.

My favorite one is the next one "I just gotta have",
like the 7, 4, 15, 16, 11, 24, etc., etc., you get the drift. It does seem a character flaw all the same, I can only use one at a time, or maybe two if it be absolutely indispensible to do so.
Kinda curious what the next big choppasaurus is gonna be. :D

Wow....noone is giving any love to the 5.....i got 7 first, love it.then came the 5, love it then the 14,love it,then the 2.....love it...LOVE them all for diverse uses and time of day.

Oh no, it's still funny. I just didn't think it was THAT funny. But I've done that before myself, so it would be awfully dumb of me not to be amused when other people do it.

I guess I'm a generalist at heart - my favorite Becker knife is which ever one I'm using at the time. :D:D:D

My modified Machax.

I won it a couple years ago from one of Moose's (anyone remember that guy?:D) contests.

It has earned a place in my arsenal of cherished tools.

If pressed I'd say sabre 16.
But I'm discovering the real answer is "the one in my hand." They are all so useful none will let you down, and selecting one for the task at hand makes everything just fall in to place.
24 for repeated slices, 11/"151" for detail work, 7 for hacking and whacking, 15 for food, 16 for, well, pretty much anything... Just wonderful.
Can't wait 'till the 5 arrives...

The 5 is indeed a slicey beast! Ribs are thawing for tomorrow, I expect little opposition.

I'm gonna throw this one out there: my 12. Just the perfect in-between. I use my modded 11 a LOT more though. And I like the Machax I modded a lot. And then there's the Celtic 9/16 piggyback...and the 5...and the 15....and the 14 I just got....wait, what was the question?

Machax. I try not to go to the woods without it. It's light, and versatile, and kind of an elegant design.

for my favorite Becker Knife, it's a tossup between my 12, 16, and 24 -- depends on the task list for the day. (even though the 12 isn't totally an Ethan design or officially a BK&T knife)

I don't know about "officially", but it does have "Becker" etched into it. And the OP did ask which is your favorite Becker knife....even though it's not made by Ka-Bar (then again, not all the BK&T knives were) it's just as much a "Becker" as the RBK. Or the 24, for that matter, if we're being technical ;).

I was about to post something similar too, but then opted for the 14. But honestly, you're right. Each one has its place and specific tasks, and there isn't a BK in my collection that I like less than any of my others.

I love them all but the Machax is my favorite! It is a big useful knife with a lot of style :) I light the lighter weight of the KaBar version best mated up with the factory micarta scales.
