Time to stir the pot so to speak... What is your favourite becker knife and why?

All I have right now is the 7, however I would really like to try out one of the tweeners soon. Still debating between the 16 and 17. The 16 seems like it would be a better general knife, but the 17 is just such a sweet looking knife it makes it hard to choose.
 
BK7. Pretty much an iron skillet. Not really gonna hurt it unless you really try to. Low maintenance. Wipe it off after hard use and a dab of mineral oil on the edge before storage.
Great simple steel heat treated correctly. Easy to sharpen. Made in the US.

Designed by Mr.Becker for function and usefulness. And....the guy knows how to cook! Getting the app today !

Love for the BK7!
 
I'll go against the Grain here: I can't stand the BK-7. lol

But I do Love the BK-11, BK-16, and BK-12! Can't pick just one cause they are all so different.

BK-11 cause it's the perfect size to have on you at all times and can do more than most knifes it's size. Very comfortable in my hands especially with scales.
BK-16 cause it's the most useful size knife for most tasks and is more comfortable than any other knife it compares to.
BK-12 cause it's my favorite large Becker and is just plain sexy. Beat's the 7 hands down. haha. I know you BK-7 lovers hate me.

No hate here's just feeling sad....waiting for you to come to your senses....:) your list is full of great stuff too.

I don't hate it. I do own two BK-7's. It's just that out of all of all my knives, that one is the one that doesn't fit my needs as much as the others. There was a time that I did love it a lot. Then I got the rest of the lineup, and realized I liked the others better. That's the cool thing about Becker's, there is something for everyone!

I actually love every single Becker knife I own............. The 7 however is at the very bottom of that list.

I also think that if all you 7 lovers out there got your hands on a 12, you would see what I mean and possibly even change your mind. haha.
 
I am with Dex when it comes to the 7 vs 12. To me the design of the 12 is just plain better. As for favorite Becker I will say my 16 as its the only one I haven't gotten rid of.

I don't think 7 gets much love is because it really is a fighter not a lover. its a last ditch jack of all trades master of none thing. my first bkt knife. felt very good carrying her while working at 7-11 (even though I signed a no weapon agreement). and was my edc with a pocket clip knife since early Nov last year. that is till my two week old bk2. and even though almost everyone dislikes the sheath. it didn't dull my 7" razor like my 1211/kydex combo did. though now it went form favorite knife to toss up.
 
The BK9. It's the only one I have so far. However my BK16 should be here in two days.

BK-11 for me, it's my usual EDC choice. It's a capable, dependable knife in a compact, lightweight package.
I believe this is the one I received from Moose in a previous challenge, but I own a second one now so I can't be sure :)

Hi all,

I recently did some "Horse Trading" with a fellow BF member. I soon will have four new knives coming my way. A SVORD (Orange) Mini Peasant, an OPINEL No. 8 with Olivewood handle, a TOPS BTK (Bird Trout Knife) and....a BECKER BK 14. So, my favorite BECKER will be my BK 14 as it is my first one. I hope to do some more "Horse Trading" in the future. I have my Eyes on that BECKER BK 16.
