Today I reached into my pocket for a SAK, and I had the Spyderco Sage clipped onto the same pocket. As I reached past the Sage (toward the bottom where the SAK was), I must have opened the folder a bit. The blade went right into the meaty part of the side of my hand. (I have no photos, just take my word for it).
That was one hell of a nice slice out of my hand. Nice flap of skin I had to butterfly after applying Yunnan Paiyao to stop the bleeding. And it didn't want to stop.
So, my question is: was I stupid to reach past the folder? Should I have kept the SAK in a separate pocket? From now on, I will remove the folders first.
