Tip up or tip down?

Having owned knives in both set-ups, I've come across the conclusion that for utility, in which I don't need the blade to open up quick, then it's tip down. For defense, its tip up, since our "conditioned" user-interface is like that of a fixed blade being drawn out of its sheath.

But tip up for me too.
