Tips for a center seam sheath

I didn't like how that sheath was oversized and rattled so I made another using all leather.

The seam isn't pretty, but it had to go on the front.

I really don't know how you're supposed to make a sheath like this for a clip point blade without a wonky seam.
I know that for daggers and such you make it then form it to the knife, but the only way I could think of for a clip point is to stitch it wet around an insert.

temporary glue some stiff and thin material on the blade to give it more the shape of a drop point.
Wet form around that to get a straight seam.

I like a center seam
