Tis the season. What gear should Santa bring you?

First and Foremost would be a NWA Knife ( I don't think I have ever wanted a knife this bad). Second would be a Mosin-Nagant m44 recently got into deer hunting and read that this is the best gun for the money. Besides that maybe a few things for my lady that I could admire too.

A Surefire L1, some wool clothing items, a new pair of jeans, and that's about it. It would be nice to spend some time with her as well. Both of us have been very busy lately.

My wife recently got me an amber bone Case peanut for our anniversary. The only other knife on my "list" is a BRKT Lil Nessy.

On a related note, Santa is bringing my two year old daughter a toy Victorinox SAK. It's larger than life and has blunt, soft, plastic implements.
Whenever I use my SAK or multitool for anything she wants it and yells "fix it! Fix it!" She'll get a real one when she's old enough.

My lady elf princess has already gone shopping for me. Chances are I won't get a GB ax, though. However, last year was very good for survival/outdoor gear.

so far, i've got:
Essential Bushcraft by Ray Mears
Surefire G2 LED
Petzl Tikka XP LED Headlamp
Kaito KA009R Emergency Radio
REI Sahara Long-sleeve Shirt/Pants

no knife yet tho....

I wouldn't recomend this unless you're planning on bayonetting the deer once you track it down. There are other similar models of Nagants that are a little more suited that don't have permanently affixed bayonets. Check out J&G Sales.

The fact that I have the following on order:

Tom Krein Ultimate Caper with CPM154 and Orange/Black G10

Dan Koster Nessmuk with a Scandi-grind & Natural Micarta

Graham Brother's SS4 Razel in 154CM & Green Linen Micarta with Liners & Mosaic Pins.

Fenix L1T Version 2

All I ask is the wife does not get too upset.:D

But if I was to add to it:

Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight

A small Wetterlings or GB Hatchet

Snugpak sleeping bag

Stevens 200 in .223

Ruger 10/22 & a whole list of accessories for it.

A Leatherman Skeletool would be nice, but they're not going to be out until after Christmas.

But I hope I find a Buck Strider until the tree this year.

Well I got some inside information from the North Pole that I'll be getting a CS Trail Hawk. This top secret letter also told me to send it to a certain knifemaker and have him reforge it into a spike hawk.

I'd dig some nice custom belt sheaths for my slipjoints. Some big ol' trappers to go in them would be nice as well.

I really need that fat bastard to bring me a woodworkers vise and some needle files for my shop.

Ilbruche, post a review of the hawk when you get it, eh?

Sure will. Gotta get the hawk first, then send it out. I think the spike hawk is often overlooked. Who needs a hammer when you can use the side of the axe or a rock. You can also embed the spike in a stump or log and have a nice stationary blade to work with. Double bits just freak me out.

The Carbon Steel Hunter from Böker, Solingen. I'm so glad they offer carbon steel knives again. I've seen it in a shop and it actually looks better in real life. Maybe I can make some pics when I visit the blackforest after christmas. I'll also try to make pictures of the beavers there. :D

Man, sweet blade!
Santa will be extra good to me this year, I ordered myself a fallkniven F1, a Gransfors Bruks sfa, and possibly a scope mount for my M14s.
