Titanium Frame lock WIP and introduction

Why am I always confused? Too much coffee, maybe? First of all, the pictures I see come out black with a very faint drawing. However, what I can make out I do very much like.

I'm not sure if I read this right, though. Are you planning to have the same sized handle but with a 1/2" shorter blade :eek:? Say it isn't so!

you can put your mind at ease , i wasn't thinking of making a Regulus with just a smaller blade :p
this knife will be 3.5" blade with a handle to match , it's gonna be like a scaled down Regulus with a few changes :)
 
Phew! I'll take it!

When you're done with this one you can start on a full tang fixed blade with a blade length of 7-8" and 1.75" wide. Just saying... Not many guys working 3V in that size and with your skill you can probably bust them out real quick. Keep the Regulus in your pocket and the "Dog Star" in your pack. I'm getting way too ahead of myself. :)

Damn, wish I could see those drawings. Stupid phone.

Ended up using my regulus as a hammer last night .... flat side of the blade.... while doing some IKEA carpentry. IT WORKED GREAT!!!!. I am certain the knife was not intended to be used in any manner resembling a hammer but the bloody thing is a TANK. For all of those who bought a Ti handled Regulus, you guys have to buy a G10 one as well. I am loving mine!! Oh, and the wife used it last night, I heard a ¨holy shit¨.... this is from a small spanish woman... I asked what is wrong and she says nothing but this knife is seriously sharp. ;) Haven´t touched that edge with a sharpener yet and it has seen alot of cutting.

alright everyone, time to start the new batch :D

i got the ti from water jet today, in a week i'll get the rest of the standoffs and pivots..

today i only drilled the holes , tomorrow i'll finish that and start profiling blades..
you can see the handle of the new model 3.5" blade. it's called Sirius.

So freakin awesome dalibor! The blade on the Sirius looks massive to fit in that handle...I love it! Can't wait to get mine! Looking forward to seeing more progress pics.

today i profiled the blades and grinded a few with 80 grit...tomorrow i'll rough grind the rest and possibly grind a few to 320.

today i grinded all the blades with 120 grit.. as you can see on the photos i have a monster Regulus lefty :D

Looking fantastic as always! The Regulus is a great EDC and does everything you can ask of it if you have the room in your pocket for a big folder. Now with the little brother available there is no excuse not to pick one of these bad boys up.

How big is that lefty??!! Wow!

monster leftie is ~5" from center of pivot to tip or about 4.5" of blade :D
 
sorry for the lack of pics the last few days...my machinist is in the hospital and i'm looking for someone else to make the lock relief for me.

so blades are grinded with 320 girt and tomorrow once i drill the detent holes and clean the blades i will send them to HT. hopefully blades will be done by Monday :)
