Current lineup:, Left to Right
Koenig Arius, M390.
My 2nd, after having one and selling it a few years ago as I just wasn't sure what to think about it.
Great build quality which is why I tried it a second time.
I like this version of it better than what I had before, this is also the only one with a flipper tab.
I've ordered Skiff PB washers so I'll see how that goes, and I may still grind down the flipper tab to suit my preference as compared to everything else shown.
Spartan Harsey, S45VN.
An all around good knife and very solid with a deployment on par with an XM-24 in snap(weight) and sound.
I tried selling this previously but ended up keeping it, re profiled the edge which is now much sharper making a great cutting tool.
For me, it's like a modern tanky(er) version of a Buck 110.
Les George, VECP V3 Tanto, CTS-XHP
After looking for VECP for a white, this came up and I saw it at the right time and shot first.
First Tanto folder, wicked profile unlike most others and has one of the smoothest actions - lock ups - disengagement compared to all of the folding knives I've owned.
My hot rod.
CRK Large Sebenza 31, Magnacut.
First order directly from CRK, 2+ year wait (S35VN originally) and would have been (should have been?) my first CRK.
I like the classic profile a lot and the hollow grid is as nice as the Koenig, slim(er) overall when folded compared to a lot of knives of similar size.
This will probably stay around until the end.
CRK Umnumzaan, S45VN.
The opportunity was there so I shot first.
Like the Lg. 31. slim(er) overall when folded compared to others of similar size, and this being larger than a lot of others, that makes it nice in the pocket, for me...
I carried this for 1.5-2 years before I got my hands on the 31, so they are far more familiar with the Zaan making it very comfortable for me.
I also appreciate the simplicity of design / parts making the CRK's much easier to maintain.
This is my one and done.
Les George, VECP Button Lock, Magnacut.
The VECP drop point I've been waiting for, I hovered on this drop like a starving California condor and it paid off.
This has it's own feel (is the only way I can describe it) and is so well put together, with the DLC morph pattern makes this in some ways more of a hot rod than the Tanto.
What Les does with PB washer is amazing.
You'll have to pry if from my cold dead hands....
Spyderco Shaman, S30V.
My most modded knife to date and feels like a worn leather glove in my hand.
Extremely useful and one I always come back to.
In all Honestly, for a pocket folder the difference in blade steel it almost meaningless for me between them all.
If you're going to use them, you'll need to sharpen them eventually...
