Titusville Cutlery Company

I wanted to check out the community thoughts on the knives being produced by the Titusville Cutlery Co. I tried to search the forum for some info on them and their knives but information was tough to find. I've watched a review and it sounded like they were a little over priced. Getting GECs are nearly impossible these days, I'm pretty much down to the BF knife as the only GEC I can get so looking for alternatives.

They are made and owned by Daniel’s Family Brand. Same makers as Tuna Valley. I think the only difference that I noticed is Tuna Valley uses predominantly 154CM and Titusville uses 1095 for the blade. I have owned both and still own a Titusville lambsfoot. Build quality was great on both. They tend to use thicker blade stock and overall their knives are thicker. Not necessarily a bad thing but they are heftier. They do run a good deal more than GEC at retail.

How is the nail nick placement on the lambsfoot in relation to the caplifter? I've been dreaming of GEC making a lamb lifter so it's nice to see titusville cutlery took a shot on one.
I think Daniels got it perfect. They don’t get enough love. I think their slightly higher price point keeps some people away? These knives are totally worth the money in every category.

I never seem to read anything about where the Daniel’s are making their knives. Do they have a factory? Do they contract them out? Do they buy parts and assemble them? Where are they made?
The Tuna Valley, Titusville, and Napanoch knives are made in Titusville, PA by knifemaker Jeff Schley in his home custom shop. Jeff worked at Queen and Ontario since the early 1990's, and worked his way up to master cutler of both factories. He handles most processes himself (except heat treat, which is done by Peter's Heat Treat in Meadville.) All parts are their own designs, laser cut from a local machine shop.

Thank you for sharing that information.👍🏻
