Glad you figured out the dowels were missing, I imagine that would have caused quite a bit of consternation.

It did...there had been a good deal of stress - which I was trying to relieve with some BK4 work. Not trying to beat it out, just shifting my focus to the project. It didn't go quite as planned; but it did divert my attention.

To be able to make their own handles and not infringe upon Ethan's works, they need to make a significant change to the handles themselves. That is easily accomplished by changing the amount of screws, as well as the overall shape of the handles (they are different from stock scales in shape). Glad you figured out the dowels were missing, I imagine that would have caused quite a bit of consternation.

That makes complete sense, and had never entered my mind, given how friendly and sharing the BK community is. Rules is rules though, so reinventing a wheel with more spokes has to happen I guess.
