I had one of these as a kid, a promotional piece manufactured in Japan in the 1950's-1960's. I hadn't thought about it in about 40 years, when I had a dream about it a few weeks ago and wished I still had it. Well, that next day while perusing a local flea market and there it was! probably not my old one obviously, but one just like it in nice condition. The guy said he didn't see many of them and I had to make it mine...again.

Here is an old Colonial scout knife i've had for a while. I'm not quite sure what kind of blade style it HAD, but now it's a wharncliffe.

This pic was sent to my by my friend, Chief Flora retired USN. He was the Admin Chief for the Blue Angels. He will be 90 on his next birthday

I am in. The TL-29 is of special interest to me because my father (88 years old) has one he was issued while serving with the Army Combat Engineers during the Korean War. Very useful knife.:cool:

Wow, everyone! Thanks for the great response so far. I am enjoying the pics and stories a lot, and do appreciate the comments!

I am going to keep this going into next week. Also, thanks to a generous member of the community, there will be another knife added to the giveaway. I don't have any details yet, but it promises to be an excellent addition to this giveaway. Thank you, mystery person! :cool:
