You can't just beat it. You have to Jarvis the crap out of it. You have a reputation to uphold after all. Actually, I'm having the same struggle myself. Terror Monkey should be here anyday.............what to do, what to do??

man, I can't believe I am saying this to another dude, but if you live close to me, can I come over and hold your monkey?

The AA may be the knife that got me really interested in Busse, and it is for sure a Grail knife, and the Terror Monkey seems even more rare. I would have to use it if it were mine.




Oh, ya Jarvis, we know you aren't going to be able to resist. However, putting that kind of thing off can make the moment more sweet when it arrives.


Also, aside from being frozen, that log looks to have a lot of sap, congealed/concentrated sap can make logs super hard to split. I had some saturated like that, and they were hard enough to cause the Maul I was using to simply bounce back off, without even creasing the surface. Some took 40 swings to split. But then they were much wider than that one in your pic. I had to quarter them, then split the quarters into several pieces to get them to the right size to fit into the wood stove.
