I've only had one experience with Botach Tactical. I wouldn't say it was unethical necessarily. I just thought it strange that an item which lists as "in stock" on their website would actually be on back order. Of course, you don't know this until you give them your credit card and personal info. I don't know, improper website management or just trying to hook you into a sale no matter what?

Many people on this forum talk about people stealing other people's ideas. Is Botach Tactical (BK Botach) guilty of this?

Read about the experience Kelly Worden had with the owner. This is on Mr. Worden's website:

Nothing new, botach appeals to walmart type people. "I don't care how this company harms or rips off others, just as long as I get my low price!".

I know that I ordered items "in stock," was charged for them, and did not receive them ("Back Ordered").

All efforts at communication were ignored.

Then I searched here and found out that such behavior was routine for this POS.

"To Botach or NOT to Botach"

Well, after reading about Kelly Worden's experience and your past experience.I would think the question has already an answer before asking.

Read my post in The Good, The Bad... (Cold Steel Ultra Lock). I tried to deal with Botach before Knife Outlet and i waited over 30 days communicating via email (the phone was no use, they said they would call me back by 3 pm and i never got another call from them and i couldn't get through again  ). They still had not shipped so i decided to cancel the order and ordered from Knife Outlet and recieved in 2 weeks. Botach has very good prices (but not the best). I think it is the only way to keep prices down to find a vendor that has what your ordering and ship that to you (takes a little longer but nothing shady there).

I've done business with them before with no trouble at all AND gotten a good response on the phone one time I cancelled a back order BUT after reading Kelly Worden's experience I won't consider them as a source for anything ever again.

As a side note, I really like my Impact Kerambit. I even got the soft rubber trainer also. The worst price I saw them for was too cheap to believe for such a neat and effective piece of equipment.

I know what the BK stands for, and I no longer think he deserves the name.

Hey guys, a link from one of my students in the Canadian Military is below along with his comment. Below that is a statement from another company BK Botach has ripped off,,, so yes , he has hit more than just me,,, Kelly S. Worden

Basically a google search of "bk botach" brings up nothing but negativity.
www.tttmissionfirst.com/trrl_lanyards.html

is the link for the fake retention lanyards.

TriTech Training/Mission First!™, Inc. has recently discovered that Botach Tactical, aka Botac is falsely advertising TTT/Mission First!™’s Tactical Retention/Recovery Lanyard® as the “MR Tactical Lanyard”. Botach Tactical IS NOT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER for the TTT/Mission First!™ Tactical Retention Lanyard®™. Furthermore, Botach Tactical is violating several Federal Copyright and Trademark laws by the unauthorized use of the TriTech Training/Mission First!™ proprietary photographs and trade names.

At $9.95 or less the MR Lanyard is NOT MADE in the U.S.A AND IS A CHEAP IMITATION OF WHAT IS PICTURED ON THE BOTACH WEB SITE. While Botach is using a photo of the TTT/Mission First!® Tactical Retention Lanyard®, it inked out the distinctive TriTech Training/Mission first!® “triangle” product label.

Botach is notorious for ripping off their customers. I would hope no one who reads this forum would ever consider sending them money if only because it's a matter of chance whether they'll ever send you the stuff you paid for. It doesn't surprise me at all that they steal from their suppliers as well as from their customers. This is just one more reason not to do business with them. :thumbdn:

Botach Tactical :thumbdn: I recently purchased an item (feb. 06 ),almost a month went by and nothing . Sent 3 or 4 emails - no response, I called got closed ti monday. Waited a few days and called again to cust. serv. , asked wheres my order ? they repied OH' your order is on backorder, my reply I never recieved an email pertaining to this .......its intented for a B-day gift, please cancel and recredit my card. OK' they say . A week goes by and no credit posted to my card nor an email to the fact. I call again, wheres my credit ? Oh' they say ,it will be credited and posted today , an oversite. I say BS ,post it now and send me an email confirmation of the credit. Or I will contact your State Att. Gens.office and Frauds Div, they sent me my email confirmation within 1 hours time.... and the credit to my card was later posted on my account within 24hrs. In closing , Botach Sucks.........never again 4 me.

Never had a problem with Botach. I haven't ordered anything from them in a long while, but when I did place an order, I called first and made sure that the items I wanted were in stock. Then I placed the order online.

Guess I just got lucky.

Same here. Talk about being in a minority...I ordered twice and my items arrived within several days. Hard to believe, I know.

Botach Tactical ripped me off to the tune of a $ 50.00 flashlight. It didn't work. I sent it back and they never sent me the replacement they promised (the only time I managed to correspond with them via email) nor would they refund my money. No one will respond to your emails and you cannot reach anyone by phone.

Total scumbags.

Did they tell you to "mail it back"? If so, you might wish to speak to the U.S. Postal Inspector near you about Mail Fraud.

Using the name "davidtactical," an employee of Botach has used the email system of this forum to send me the following:

"I'm so sorry to here [sic] that you had a bad experience with Botach Tactical. As the customer is always right, we are willing to fix any problem you've had as well as offer you a 5 percent discount on your next order. We apologize for any and all problems you've had with us and we look forward to serving you in the future. David Eastham"

"davidtactical" has 0 posts.

Botach apparently hired poor Dave to try to reverse a reputation built on years of bad customer service, search "Botach" here and see http://www.epinions.com/webs-Web_Services-All-Merchants-Botach_Tactical . First step, use BF to spam. Not a great sign of a change in Botach's legendary culture.
