The 551 is better than the Adamas? Say it ain't so!!!!!

Sorry Warrior. We laid off 1/3 of our employees last year to stay afloat. In a not-for-profit business, we very quickly see the effects of the economy going up and down. Wherever the optimism is coming from right now, they must be smoking some great stuff.

I wouldn't say better, but different. I still love my adamas, but I think the 551 will be better for edc. It's lighter, a bit slimmer. Either way, I wanted a 551 before I ever even considered the adamas. I still think they both are must haves for anyone who wants a hard use beast.
 
Sorry to hear that Dubz. If I can help at all let me know. We do a layoff about every year or two and I usually get caught up in it. The plus side for our situation is until you find another job it gives you plenty of time to get out and enjoy the things you thought of doing while you were working. There's no shame in drawing your unemployment benefits either. Good luck!

Fired? Damn. Not even laid off? Too much moose droppings around the office? Jk that's sux guys. I have a feeling ill be will you come July. I'm point man for a large remodel project right now, but after that's over June 30th, there might not be a spot for a finish work specialist on our mostly hvac and mechanical maintenance dept.

Damn brother, very sorry to hear that. But, you know, you just can't jump up on your desk and dance butt nekkid all the time, and not expect any kind of ramifications. :D Trying to be light hearted here, but damn bro, that sucks big time. I'm gonna go to the unemployment office here in awhile. Woo hoo. I hate standing in line at that effin place.

They called me in 2 hrs early to fire me. I usually go in at 8am, but I was supposed to head to a project in Chattanooga to finish it.

Ehh, that mindset left me years ago. Fighting over something as insignificant as my job or that company, is beneath me.

I can take solace in the fact that I know he can't replace me, and I already got two texts this morning from guys on my crews that want to come to work with me wherever I wind up. :D

That f'n sucks...called in 2 hours early to fire you?? What really sucks is that apparently they knew they were going to let you go yesterday..It's not like they had an epiphany last night over dinner and cocktails...They could have saved you time and gas money...
