Are you using the Siska eyelets? All eyelets are brass, they get plated or painted after that. That's why they have the touch up stuff but if you are using a press and dies you shouldn't have any problems. Not that I know anything about Skydex :D

Can anyone recommend some good firesteels? I've never had any and would like to get a few of them to put on a couple sheaths and in the pack I take to work. Just something that works well and is affordable.
 
Agree with the Gobsparks. If I can make a fire with tinder and shavings with it, ANYONE can.
 
Man I'm dog-sitting for my brother for the next week. Just showed up with his spastic boxer/lab, and we have 2 spastic pitbulls. I am going to have my hands full, the 3 of em looked like the tazmanian devil whirling around the living room.
 
Thanks guys, looks like gobspark it is. Found some for a decent price too.

Edctac, my dog is the same way whenever my friends stop by with their dogs or when I take her out to my boss's place and she gets to play with his dogs. They are fun to watch as long as they don't run into anything and break it.
