Evening Dave, question for you. I understand you've done some knives in 26c3, what did you use for a quenchant? I was able to pick a few thin pieces for a couple of chef's.

Thanks

26C3 makes a great knife either in the kitchen or on your belt. All my heat treat is done by Peters. I don't know what they used for a quenching..

Mrs Horsewright came up with these purses made out of old boots:

This one she only had one boot so she made it the external pocket:

A few recents from the Horsewright shop:

A thing in the western horse world is winning a buckle at some kind of horse event. Usually the buckles will go to the best average over several events or at bigger deals individual events. These are called "Trophy Buckles." A recent deal in the western world is making purses to display the buckles for the ladies. We got an order from a friend for such.Mrs Horsewright incorporated her boot top type purses into making a buckle purse. It came out great!

The buckle can be removed and replaced with a different one as long as the bail and the prong on the back of the buckle match. That is one of Nichole's buckles above.

The purse strap is done with a gunslinger stitch.

It was Nichole's birthday the other day and Tammy our friend who had commissioned the purse had it on:

Hawkeye was a great friend of ours. He passed away at almost 90 some years back. He always wore Olathe tall top boots. His adult daughters commissioned purses made from his boots. Commissioned is the wrong word as there was no $ involved he was and they are more family than friends.

Each is the same and each is different. The coyote skin is meaningful to us as he had it hanging over his bedroom door for years and his family gave it to us on his passing:
