I voted no way !
Sorry CM but some knives are ment not to be waved.
CM Have you ever thought about "waving" your knives by means of a metal rod inserted in a drilled and taped hole set under an angle?
I mean the way it is done on the Spyderco P'kal.
This way it doesn't detract from the visual aspect and the wave still works
Good luck in sobering up and fighting the PTSD demons. Been there, done that

Hey, CM. Well, my proctologist asked the same question. I told him if both of his hands were on my shoulders, I'm voting for No Wave :)

Sebenza deserves to be Charlie Miked. Been off the fire water and drugs about 20 years, the longer you go the more your self confidence comes back. Giving up the drink I lost 80% of my fun and 90% of my problems.

First off, congrats on 45 days! I myself have been clean coming up on 2.5 years now, and yeah, as others have said those first couple months are the hardest! Just always know your brothers and sisters here on bf have got your back!

And I say wave it, it's not every day someone can go out and buy a CM Waved Sebbie. If whoever wins complains, they can go off and buy an unmodded one for themself. It's your giveaway though, so do what you want.

I had a co-worker who lost his life last year due to his addiction.
Keep it going strong!

Congratulations on staying clean, Matt. My older sister was an addict for a long time and lost her kids because of it. She's been clean for about 14 months now and it's helped her tremendously. Keep on doin what you're doin bro.

As far as the sebenza goes, I would rather not have it waved but it's your your GAW and that's a very expensive knife so if you want to wave it, go for it dude. It is a free knife after all.

If It were mine I know I wouldnt want it waved. But apparently some people do like that sort of thing. Why not do the give away with the option to have it waved before delivery? That way whoever wins gets his/her choice?

Totally relate to this. Im celebrating 3 years june first. At one point I couldnt imagine life without waking up and turning off my emotions. These days I may not have the most dramatic life, but I live a happier one.

Congratulations on the first of many milestones! It's a long hard road, but we're here for ya, buddy.

I voted yes, because...well, just because you can. Ain't that reason enough?

I like this idea. OTOH, it would be a historic event lol. Back in 2010, I was the first guy to wave a SMF.

Basically he'll be cutting a small notch next to the thumb stud to act like a Emerson wave.

You have to do alot more than cut a small notch next to the thumb stud. You have to take off a good portion of the blade.

Fourth option could be wait until there's a winner and see if he wants the seb waved or not.

^ This. Why not just let the winner decide how he wants it CM ?

I voted no.
I just don't think it would look good or work out that well on the Sebenza design. They have a pretty high hollow grind. IMO, taking that much off of the top would work better on a FFG knife.
It would also ruin the great warranty that comes with the knife.

You're doing good CM, keep it up.

Waving a Sebenza is like mounting a heavy duty winch on the front bumper of a Ferrari.
