Todays $1 flea market super tinker

It washed up pretty well.

Now I've just gotta order some scales and decide what to do with it.
I couldn't pass it up for $1, but I prefer 84mm or smaller and 2 layers.
I've never had this size of Vic scissors and the parcel hook seems potentially useful so I could keep it, but it could also make a great gift.

one dollar?

very good.
I also paid the same guy $1 for a PROTO 4749 ( on my 1/4" collection list ) ratchet that he probably never looked close enough at when pricing.

If it said Snapon Craftsman, or S-K he treated it like solid gold, because he was one of those types who just don't truly know their merchandise and the market.

Nice score on that too.

The package hook woulda been useful 100 years ago, what use do they have now?

I prefer 2 spring saks, though I’ve never had a larger one. Just the tinker and an alox electrician.

😁 This seller sounds like a best friend already.
Nah, maybe if I decided I no longer needed enemies.

I asked him about an S-K 1/4" socket set he had, says he's selling it at a big discount because it's missing the universal joint then quotes me $130 for it.
1 used previous generation Snapon ratchet $100.
I got lucky on a couple of items he had already made decisions on, but he was constantly searching values on his phone before quoting prices on various items for people and I'm pretty sure he was just looking at inflated Ebay asking prices.

I like the look of those walnut scales they have.
I decided to go for the least expensive option I liked which included the toothpick and tweezers because I didn't want to be in it for too near the cost of a new one, I went with the translucent emerald green. Bought from an Ebay vendor for $16.

I was going to go directly to the swiss knife shop but their prices were higher and I saw something on their site that made me unhappy about the idea of spending more to buy through them.

Parcel hook? Was that used for like carrying a big stack of mail or package that was wrapped around with twine or something, instead of the twine cutting into your fingers?
